We went to Scopitone based on another reviewer's comments and were not disappointed. The food was wonderful, causing us to go back for a second meal. The restaurant is simple in décor, etc., so the food is the real focus and it shows. Scopitone is on a small side alley in central Bordeaux and might get lost among all the... More

we just had arrived by train at lunchtime. given a suggestion by the receptionist we found the hidden small restaurant with it few tables on the street. our small lunch where a salad gourmets - and the name was right! fois gras, duck breast roasted and smoked on salad leafs and simple garnish very tasty - also the wines by... Caught by the rain, we went into this restaurant just off Place Gambetta. What a find ! The size and decor did not reflect the quality of the food. It was certainly one of the best meals I have had in this region - freshly cooked, well present and very reasonably priced. Staff were very helpful and explained areas of... More

If we were walking past this restaurant we wouldn't have gone in but it was recommended to us and we were glad we did. The food was excellent and well priced. We took the daily 3 course menu and other than the grilled vegetables (didn't seem to work for us as a dish) entree we were very happy with the... More

A small restaurant in a side street just off the Place Gambetta , with a good quality fixed price menu at 16 euros offering 3 or 4 choices for each of the three courses. The fish (gurnard) main course was very tasty. The wine list starts at around 20 euros with a cheaper rose wine available by the pichet. Tables... More

This place doesn't look like much, but from start to finish, it was the best meal I had during my recent 12 day trip to France. From entree, to main dish to dessert. I think we could of licked the plates. Go for their pastry covered duck, honey salad, and warm chocolate cake!! Can still imagine it!

Tucked away on a side street on the edge of the Golden Triangle. Ate here three times in our stay in Bordeaux. Good a la carte menu, but the menu du jour changing daily at 16 euros is remarkable value and quality. We particularly enjoyed the fish dishes. Service is friendly and prompt. Definitely worth a try.

A tiny place, tucked away but worth a visit for excellent, delicious and unique food. Great service and really good value for 3 courses. A must in beautiful Bordeaux!

This unpretentious looking restaurant in the centre of Bordeaux serves delicious food. I went there 3 times this week. Tables are a bit small, but service is good and friendly. Starters are very original, even the tuna tartar with a glass of very light mousse. Warm vegetables with a poached egg, croustillant de lotte, all ligh, tasty and original. You... More

Great food and fantastic value for money. We both had the 16 Euro lunchtime menu, with a few add ons for some dishes, understandable given the quality of the produce used. The cote de couchon with morriles sauce was fantastic. Not perhaps the most romantic setting, as the tables are all squeezed together, but that adds to the fun,
