Good food, cute place

Just had a nice lunch there with some good company and we enjoyed it. Everything was quick, service was nice and the food was quite nice. Had onion soup and foie gras as starters and then some pork meat and cote de boeuf and both were fine accompanied with nice fries. Price was okay 19E each... read more

We had 2x 3 course menu, a bottle of wine, water and bread for €41. I don't eat meat and the menu was not in English but the waitress took the time to explain it to me and even swapped a fish option into the set menu for me. We had onion soup and cheese salad to start followed by... More

Called in here for dinner on one of the recent warm nights in Bordeaux. Although not a large establishment we managed to get a seat outside. Very relaxed and atmospheric with the locals walking up and down the narrow street. We both had salad des geziers as a starter, and my wife had a magret de canard as a main... More

Having spent ages walking around Bordeaux looking at menu after menu of the same thing we discovered this great restaurant. Good food, good service and excellent entertainment from the man with the guitar. Excellent value and an interesting experience. Well worth a visit.

Food ok but not good for couples. We realised our mistake and just had starters which were huge! Quite ok. Staff were so so. Great for kids but otherwise steer clear!

This is not a fine dining establishment and it doesn't pretend to be. The hay on the floor and the waiters in overalls makes that clear. It is supposed to be a gentle mocking of countryside folk and it does it well. The place was packed and service was efficient. The basic menu is excellent value for under €13 and... More

We unfortunately ate here last summer. If awful food and awful service are what you enjoy, then please ignore me and carry on. In a country that is famed and revered for its cuisine the world over, this dump is just plainly an embarrassment. The food is truly inedible, with not one of us finishing a course. The waiters were... More
