When in France it's a must to try some oysters and we were very pleased with the experience at La Boite a Huitres. Everything was top notch and we tried a variety of oyesters. It was delicious! They don't have a big menu for other food besides the oysters but we only came to eat oysters so for us it... More

A great place in the very center of Bordeaux to taste oysters. You can choose a degustation menu. The oysters are fresh and you can get info on their origin. Recommended)

Amazing fresh oysters from the area. Kind service (they suffered through my French but with smiles!).

Was recommended by someone we met on the Viking Cruise. Went one afternoon and had a dozen #2 oysters, bread, and a bottle of the house white. It doesn't get any better. The oysters were fresh. fresh, fresh and ice cold. I got to eat the entire dozen because my wife doesn't care for oysters on the half shell. The... More

Thanks to Trip Advisor, we found this lovely little oyster bar around the corner from the Opera House. Really nice selection of oysters from the region and also belons. They have an assortment of 4 types of oysters (14 in total) for 28E, a pretty good deal. Also have a 20E special for lunch of 12 local oysters, pate or... More

Found on Trip Advisor while in Bordeaux looking for a seafood/oyster meal. Called at 6.30 pm and advised they did not open until 7.00pm. No problem went further along street for a wine and returned shortly after 7.00pm. The menu is simple and only in French. We had the fish soup which was so tasty with sides of grated mozzarella... We ordered the lunch special - oysters, pate, dessert and a glass of white wine, The oysters were so fresh they were delightful. Sitting in the sunshine enjoying the food, service and the atmosphere was pure pleasure. If you visit Bordeaux and don't go there it is... More

Oysters are only good when fresh, as they are in this restaurant. The pate and sausages also are excellent. 19 Euro lunch is a steal.

Order the oysters. If you can get the Formule (pate, oysters, ice cream, glass of white wine) then you are totally sorted for a fantastic lunch. Loved it, went back twice more.
