Tucked away into Place Tartas, a stone's throw from centreville, is Soléna, owned by chef Aurélien Crosato, a Bordeaux native and Serena Lee, a native San Franciscan. Classically trained, Aurélien spent 2 ½ years broadening and honing his culinary palette in the foggy city before returning to his hometown. Market driven 3 and 5 course menus stay true to the Sud Ouest region with original and eye opening combinations, such as venison ravioli with aged gouda, soy-glazed magret, foie gras with foraged herbs, and mesquite smoked sturgeon. A solid wine list spans terroirs from juicy, ripe St. Josephs to bucket list Bordeaux vintages, or a glass of Maury to accompany that Turkish spiced Grand Cru chocolate mousse.OUR HOURS: Wednesday through Saturday 20h00 to 21h30 Sunday lunch 12h00 to 14h00 and Sunday dinner 19h30 to 21h30

Set in a residential neighborhood, Soléna offers good meals with a personal interpretation of the Chef. Sometimes dressing seems to be preferred to harmony, with many ingredients served to enrich visually the plate.

We booked Solena based on recommendations and they were correct. We chose the 5 course degustation menu and requested that wines be matched to the food. The meal started with 2 amuse bouche, mackerel cerviche and chicken, both tasty and unusual. Then organic abalone followed by a very good fois gras. The next course was sea bass with wonderfully crisp... More

This was our first visit/dinner in France and it is still on our minds. We ordered the 5 course degustation dinner which became about 7. The chef is very intuitive and mixes favors quite well. Presentation was beautiful and service impeccable. Sometimes I'm concerned that tasting menus don't provide adequate food but this one is plentiful. I wish I could... More

"boutique" restaurant. Waitress very kind and very knowledgeable on wine. The food was very good. The 5 courses "menu degustation" is innovative and fresh. The dessert was a positive surprise too. Maybe a little bit pricey for the location.

We splashed out a little on the 5 course "menu de degustation" as well as a couple of bottles of great Bordeaux wine. The food was fantastic and the welcome was impeccable, though the price was a little elevated - costing €120 each. This was really a really fine dining experience and I have to say we thoroughly enjoyed it.

We heard so many good things about Solena restaurant and the chef (A. Crosato) we desperatly wanted to have a meal there April 19th and booked very early. ( the Chef will now know who we are 😉) We chose the 5 course menu and every one of the dishes was just fabulous; excellent ingredients cooked to perfection, great flavours... More

Booked a table here based on TA reviews. It was a Sunday evening and the restaurant was more or less fully booked. The restaurant is a little out of the way but easy to find, and was approx 30 min walk from our hotel. Being our anniversary we thought we'd have the tasting menu which can be either 5 or... More
