The wife and I luckily got to the bar early the evening to get a table. The owner, Giancarlo, welcomed us and we started chatting about our trip and he is from Venice, our next stop after Bordeaux. He took down my email address and emailed me some restaurants and places to visit while there, which we did and the... More

My gf and I were in Bordeaux for 5 days and found this bar via tripadvisor. We came here for 3 of the nights. Gian is a really outgoing and friendly guy. He welcomed us the second we came into the bar and gave us great recommendations on wine. His staff is also equally outgoing and friendly. The food here... More

A great first night in Bordeaux! Casual and relaxed but with great food and wine selection, we were made very welcome and we followed their recommendations for both food and wines and were not disappointed. The place was busy so you need to book or go early. Most of the diners appeared to be locals which is a good sign.... More

Charming, perfect corner spot for sharing a glass of wine. The "small" cheese tasting plate was generous and with more than enough for the two of us, offering a selection of four Italian cheese we found impossible to choose the best from; they each impressed. The owners were friendly and welcoming plus offered helpful points on considering which glass of... More

Calling yourself the wine bar in bordeaux is a ballsy move but this charming corner tapas style bar might just live up to the high billing.A very friendly welcome and enough staff so that noone is rushed in explaining or recommending makes this a pleasant spot to spend a few hours relaxing away from the hubbub of downtown bordeaux...A good... After two nights of gorging on Michelin rated food we eagerly looked forward to meeting Giancarlo at his highly rated wine bar . The TA reviews certainly rate this place highly and glad to say , righty so . A warm and friendly welcome awaited us as we settled down to a couple of hours of simple honest food .... More

The boss is Italian, so that gives an alternative side to this wine bar in the heart of Bordeaux. Very friendly and helpful with his advice on what to drink according to what you feel like eating, or vice versa. Great charcuterie and cheese, from France, Italy and Spain; and a large choice of bottles well beyond the scope of... More
