Gorgeous restaurant, great food and service

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to C'Yusha. The young couple who run this place are remarkable...between the two of them, they turn out great food and efficient service. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to C'Yusha. The young couple who run this place are remarkable...between the two of them, they turn out great food and efficient service. We found the tastes very subtle and refined. If you want to see what an old building with vaulted ceilings looks like when beautifully restored, we recommend it.

This is the second time I've been to C'Yusha. I was very impressed first time round, but even more impressed this time. C'Yusha is a unique experience. You walk into the restaurant and the first thing that strikes you is the room, which is one of Bordeaux's old converted wine chais near the river, complete with the traditional vaulted stone... Having had over ten meals in and around Bordeaux in late June, I considered C'Yusha being the worst of all. As a start, the complimentary amuse bouche - a seafood veloute - was grainy and over seasoned. None of the dishes in the set menu measured up to the standard of the glowing reviews posted on tripadvisor. The vegetables were... More

I have written about this restaurant before when we first visited a couple of years ago, we have been back several times and each visit is rewarded with fine food, a friendly welcome and some good wine. The food remains imaginative, expertly executed and beautifully presented. I am already looking forward to our next trip to Bordeaux which would not... More

We first visited C'Yush over a year ago and have been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to return which we did last weekend. The restaurant is unchanged with just a handful of tables nicely spaced under the stone vaulted ceiling, a lovely room. The chef was on view taking complete control over everything that left his kitchen, indeed there were no... More

Located off the beaten path. Small restaurant in heritage building with gothic barrel-vaulted ceiling. Open kitchen where you see the celebrated Chef Pierrick Celibert working. Inspired experimental modern cuisine - like an art form. Small but creative menu. We ate here on a Thursday and the place was full. Booking a couple of days ahead is necessary. My wife had... More

A good meal must have several contributing factors. Good company, surrounds, atmosphere, service, menu and above all a great chef. This night had it all! From the first greeting (we were 20 mintes early due to a prior upheaval at our??? hotel) we were invited in ans seated until the staff could accommodate us. This is restaurant offering nouvelle cusine,... More

We thought this would be the experience to write home about, and unfortunately it was just average. The set menu had just changed that night and perhaps it need a little adjustment. Our first course was an artichoke foam with some sprouts and foie gras, beautifully garnished, lovely to look at but had little flavor. The unfortunate dish was the... More

Our meal was absolutely delicious. It was just the chef with one server on the night we visited, so the service was a little slow. We would absolutely return. We had the salmon 6 ways as an appetizer and also the white asparagus 5 ways. The food was very creative with a lot of attention to detail. It was very... More

Really strange to be in "an acclaimed restaurant" for lunch and be 40% of the clientele but having eaten there the paucity of diners was explained. Should really have been a bit wary when ignoring the fact that there were only three other customers we continued to the next stage which was to sit down and address the menu and... More
