Excellent spot

We came to this restaurant for a family dinner, we found it on Michelin's website and it was a very nice surprise. Dishes were excellent and to an unbeatable rate : 3 courses menu with appetizers for 34 € !! The chef is very nice, he welcomes you at the entrance of the restaurant in his... read more

We dined here during a trip to Bordeaux, on the recommendation of our hostess at the B&B we were staying at, and we were very glad we did! The restaurant is based in an old wine cellar, beautifully decorated and elegantly understated. The waitress (who we understand works the entire restaurant alone, accompanied only by the chef in the kitchens!)... More

Beautiful cave restaurant with one chef out front on view and one lady on service (don't know if they are a husband and wife team but they seem very in synch). We ate off the a la carte menu and needed some assistance with understanding the French menu due to the use of unusual ingredients, which was helpfully given. We... More

An open concept kitchen allows you watch a master at work - Chef Pierrick Celibert has worked under the likes of Alain Ducasse, Michel Guerard and Bernard Loiseau (all 3-star Michelin chefs). He has learned his trade well. This is a 2-person operation (chef and the very knowledgeable floor manager) seemlessly and silently performing in concert to produce imaginative, complex... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to C'Yusha. The young couple who run this place are remarkable...between the two of them, they turn out great food and efficient service. We found the tastes very subtle and refined. If you want to see what an old building with vaulted ceilings looks like when beautifully restored, we recommend it.

This is the second time I've been to C'Yusha. I was very impressed first time round, but even more impressed this time. C'Yusha is a unique experience. You walk into the restaurant and the first thing that strikes you is the room, which is one of Bordeaux's old converted wine chais near the river, complete with the traditional vaulted stone... Having had over ten meals in and around Bordeaux in late June, I considered C'Yusha being the worst of all. As a start, the complimentary amuse bouche - a seafood veloute - was grainy and over seasoned. None of the dishes in the set menu measured up to the standard of the glowing reviews posted on tripadvisor. The vegetables were... More

I have written about this restaurant before when we first visited a couple of years ago, we have been back several times and each visit is rewarded with fine food, a friendly welcome and some good wine. The food remains imaginative, expertly executed and beautifully presented. I am already looking forward to our next trip to Bordeaux which would not... More

We first visited C'Yush over a year ago and have been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to return which we did last weekend. The restaurant is unchanged with just a handful of tables nicely spaced under the stone vaulted ceiling, a lovely room. The chef was on view taking complete control over everything that left his kitchen, indeed there were no... More

Located off the beaten path. Small restaurant in heritage building with gothic barrel-vaulted ceiling. Open kitchen where you see the celebrated Chef Pierrick Celibert working. Inspired experimental modern cuisine - like an art form. Small but creative menu. We ate here on a Thursday and the place was full. Booking a couple of days ahead is necessary. My wife had... More
