Don't miss this place

The place looks as if it hasn't changed since it was opened in the 1930's - warm and friendly, excellent food. The foie gras mi-cuit was to die for. The lady (owner?) was very welcoming and very knowledgeable about all of the menu items, and gave us a complimentary glass of sauternes with thedessert because my wife thought there was... More

Booked this restaurant having read Trip Adviser reviews and we were not disappointed. Food was very good and beautifully presented. Service very good - friendly without being intrusive. Easy walk from tram.

As the preceding reviewers stated: this is a cosy, family-owned place offering good food at reasonable prices. Only when we asked to get the menu without dessert (which is normally done with a few Euros lowering in price), she didn't accept this and talked us into a "light" dessert, which turned out to be red berries, which my husband don't... Le Loup is a lovely, family owned bistro. They have several reasonable pre-fixe dinners to choose from. The brother is the chef and the sister works the front. A perfect combination! The food is excellent, presentation is beautiful and it is comfortable and welcoming. Enjoy!

Small quiet family owned restaurant a few steps away from Rue St Catherine. One single word to describe the food and service: Exceptional! The place has a list of Foie Gras dishes as part of their menu or a la carte, worth every euro. The special fig desert was one of a kind. Very nice list of regional wines.

We booked this restaurant having seen it full when walking past. The restaurant offers all the local food such as Foie Gras and Entrecôte. We opted for the top price three course menu at 38 euros each as we liked the choices. We both went for Foie Gras and I have to say how delicious it was. Part of it... More

I was on holiday with my mum in Bordeaux and was looking for a restaurant on trip advisor when I came across 'Le Loup'. We immediately went there and weren't surprised by its good reviews. It is small and cozy and is situated in a quiet road which is part of its calm atmosphere. We were served (by lovely staff)... More

Small, charming restaurant with friendly service and good food. Nothing fancy but good value for the money. Scallop main course very good.

This is a small, intimate restaurant. It was like being in someone's dining room. We weren't packed in like sardines which was a nice change. The decor is very French and slightly vintage/classic style. The maitre de was lovely and the food was to die for; little works of art on a plate and tasted divine. Go there!
