Restaurant du Loop

Very typical restaurant. Small with great ambiance and personalised service. Excellent meal at reasonable price with excellent wine recommended by the host.

Excellent service and very good value menu (the one we had was 28 euros). It feels a little quiet and pretentious at first (white tablecloths etc) but the manager couldn't be more welcoming and it wasn't stuffy at all. Perhaps not ideal for a big group but otherwise excellent.

We are here, based on other trip advisor reviews and it couldn't have been better. We shared a foie gras 2 ways to share for a starter and then noisettes of lamb for me and the entrecôte for my wife. For desert we had profiteroles and another sponge with raspberry mouse (I think it was called La Charlotte)....however everything was... More

Found the restaurant by chance and enjoyed the whole experience so much we returned another evening. Delicious food beautifully presented, attentive service and very good value.

This is a small quaint restaurant on a small street off the Rue St. Catherine. Martine is the proprietor and only waitress. She is friendly and attentive and her English is passable. The crowd ( full restaurant holds about 30 people) is a mixture of locals and tourists. Reservations are a must, but are easily made. The food is good,... More

We reserved a table via "The Fork", but when we arrived the restaurant was full and they claimed that they haven't got any reservation from us. Interestingly, after returning from holidays we have been in the mailing list of Restaurant du Loup.

My girlfriend and I stopped there to have a lunch before to leave the city and decided decided to share a relatively expensive menu to be faster, and the restaurant make us clearly understand that it was inappropriate from our side. Then I suggest we could go somewhere else if it was problem, but told us to stay in a... More

my husband and I absolutely love this place so we went twice during 4 days. the restaurant locate in a quiet street in the old town, not very big, sits 10-12 tables only, make sure you book in advance-even just on the day, or very likely you might be turned away walking in...they specialize in foie gras, and i love... Excellent little restaurant, although book if you can. We arrived as soon as it opened and were the only ones who hadn't booked, others were regularly being turned away. The place itself is a small but elegant restaurant, with excellent service from the staff. We ordered from the €28 menus. Our starters were a work of art, superbly presented, and... More

Bordeaux is one of my favorite places in Europe. I need to come here once a year to refill my wine collection. Don't miss this place if you visit Bordeaux: friendly people who make you feel at home, excellent service, and the Master cook (whom I haven't met) prepares excellent dishes. They have the traditional beef filet which is just... More
