We were recommended to visit this restaurant but were extremely disappointed. The seafood platter was good but took almost an hour to arrive, no real problem as we sat enjoying the evening. However, we had both ordered sole for the main course, when they arrived the skin and the meat was tough as old boots, in our opinion it had... More

Used to come here a few years ago, but this time found it very average, not great food, my fish course looked and tasted as if it had been hanging around at the pass for along time. The cafe fernand desert course was the best part of the meal.

I had a reservation for tonight at 7pm, and I received a text (from The Fork) at 5:45pm saying that my reservation was canceled. No explanation given. Very poor form, Fernand.

Judging by the reviews this is a marmite type of restaurant - people seem to love it or loath it in equal measure. We had a truly memorable lunch sitting outside. We speak French but staff could and willingly spoke English, were friendly and attentive. We shared a starter ( langoustines) and a plate of cheese before we had dessert,... More

Dined here with family and friends for my brother-in-laws 60th. Fabulous food, great service and a lovely place. Definitely worth a visit for a special occasion. They even catered for unusual requests.

Dined here last week with family on a visit from Chicago; despite miserable weather we arrived between showers and were rewarded with a great view of the illuminated riverfront. Service was attentive but discreet and the food was well-priced and very good: the fish lasagne and grilled sole were particularly well received. Three of us ate from the fixed menu... More

The location is good along the Gironde river. Unfortunately the food was very average. This place is totally overrated.

Don't go, the oysters were ordinary, rest of meal was average to poor... Ordered the oysters, duck, and monkfish. The oysters were mostly small, one was dry, and poorly schucked (still attached to shell and full of gritty broken shell). The alleged no.0 oyster (which should indicate a minimum size of 100g) was tiny, and the rest were just cheap... More

We had a reservation and they still acted like we were encroaching on their evening. We noticed we got every single dish served as an afterthought to others who came in with larger parties or after us. Our first server spoke a little English and finally somewhat deserted us and another waitress helped us who was much nicer. We spoke... More
