On a weekend break and wish we had found this restaurant earlier as we had some dubious meals before! 3 of us had the Normandy pork and 1 had the Beef and we all agreed it was all fabulous. The flavours of the food were amazing and the meat very tender and so tasty. The lady who served us was... More

A nice small place with seating for approximately 20 inside. We were able to get a reservation about 1 hour before dinner. The service was good but not overly friendly. There was one lady who I think was the wife of the chef. She had to turn away several parties during the evening as they were full and they have... More

Rustic food in a great setting. The service was very friendly and despite my attempt to speak French was a total failure, their English was good enough for us to work it out! The value for this food was good and in an area that at times can feel a little like it is pandering to what tourists expect of... More

It's a typical french restaurant with nice local cuisine, a very kind attendant and fabulous "joue de boeuf". Everything is fresh and herbs are cultivated by themselves. Even the chocolate and sweets that come with the coffee are homemade. And we had an outstanding dessert. A small and cozy restaurant with simple decor and amazing cuisine. We will come back!

Had a really nice meal here. It's a tiny restaurant but the food was good and the service pleasant. It's a bit different and more hearty fare than most of the other places we tried in Bordeaux, but definitely tasty and well priced.

Packed in on restaurant row is a small restaurant with only about 5 tables outside. What really stands out is that they are not selling the same food as everyone else. We noticed that the diners the night before had little pans and decided to give it a try. The starters are interesting rather than salads and foie gras -... More

It's slightly off-putting to arrive somewhere for dinner and be the only people on the place after 8pm on a Saturday night. However, within a short while we were joined by a couple of other tables of people, and all was well! The food here is good, hearty Bordelaise stews and the like - very tasty and superbly cooked, with... More

After reading all the rave reviews we booked a table expecting great things. We needn't have booked because at 8pm on a Friday evening in June we were the ONLY customers when we arrived. We ordered a couple of stews/casseroles which are the house speciality: one beef, one lamb - 15Euros each. They were both pretty good, including a rich... More
