Excellent traditional French food with modern touches.

A warm welcome from Madame to this excellent small restaurant run by a husband and wife team. My rognons were delicious and cooked perfectly "rose" as ordered. Three courses and a bottle of good Bordeaux totalled 78 euros. Great value.

We found this restaurant searching on the internet (and knew the area, near Place du Parlament). It is quaint and reasonably priced for Bordeaux. We read they do not play music so it is quiet. As more people walk in and converse during their meal, you forget. We were served a starter plate of little savory puff pastry twists with... More

Great little family run restaurant, flavour full home cooking. The service is very good by the one off lady who does front of house. The rabbit dish and the pork dish were so great you wanted more bread to sop up the goodness... A must...

First night in Birdeaux and off to an excellent start. Unpretentious little place, husband and wife team. Madame is competent, friendly. Monsieur Chef is imaginative and skilled. Interesting, small menu, homey and a little different than the usual fare in a similar restaurant. Prices are extremely good. Appetizers of moules and a mushroom tourt were served very hot and bursting... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by another restaurant owner due to them being closed on Sundays. It was our last night in Bordeaux and we were so happy to finish our trip with a meal this fantastic! The lady (owner) was very helpful explaining the menu in English, we didn't have to wait long for the food and the... More

I rarely give 5 star reviews. This place is wonderful example of superb French Cuisine. It is run by a husband & wife team. The rabbit in a red wine demi glacé was divine. My Normandy pork in a white wine /creme sauce outstanding. A recommended Bordeaux of no particular familiarity, was full bodied & superb. High marks!

Good not the best. Had the fish dinner and the beof dinner. Awful french fries so sick of no choice of garlic mashed or baked but these God forsaken small potato fried in way too much over used grease. However, the remainder of meal alright.

We were drawn into this restaurant by the mouth-watering aroma emanating from the kitchen and its high rating on Tripadvisor. My braised pork in cream and wine was sublime (this was the source of the wonderful aroma I had smelt earlier), and one of the best meals I've had in France. My partner felt like something lighter and more subtle,... More

We ate here twice and both times the food was amazing, the Beef Cheeks and Rabbit deserve a special mention and the whole meal was very reasonably priced. Superb value and a delightful hostess.
