Excellent!

I rarely give 5 star reviews. This place is wonderful example of superb French Cuisine. It is run by a husband & wife team. The rabbit in a red wine demi glacé was divine. Good not the best. Had the fish dinner and the beof dinner. Awful french fries so sick of no choice of garlic mashed or baked but these God forsaken small potato fried in way too much over used grease. However, the remainder of meal alright.

We were drawn into this restaurant by the mouth-watering aroma emanating from the kitchen and its high rating on Tripadvisor. My braised pork in cream and wine was sublime (this was the source of the wonderful aroma I had smelt earlier), and one of the best meals I've had in France. My partner felt like something lighter and more subtle,... More

We ate here twice and both times the food was amazing, the Beef Cheeks and Rabbit deserve a special mention and the whole meal was very reasonably priced. Superb value and a delightful hostess.

We had tried to find this restaurant because of the reviews but couldn't find it - we were looking for somewhere to eat on a Friday night & came across it. We were the 1st people in there but it gradually filled up; a very convivial atmosphere - we were sitting by the door & as people walked in, they... More

We were put off walking in here initially because it seemed almost empty compared to other more buzzy restaurants and bars surrounding it. However we went back and had a lovely meal. Madame's service was kind and attentive. The menu was reassuringly short but well chosen. The wine list was reasonably priced. The portions, especially the main courses, were huge... More

This quaint and homely little restaurant was recommended to us by another highly rated Tripadvisor reviewed restaurant at which we weren't able to obtain a booking. No disappointment eventuated, in fact, the complete opposite. There were no chandeliers, no expensive silverware, the decor was rustic and a little flea-market looking and the chinaware doesn't match. But... The food was simply... More

Le Plat a' Oreilles is a small cozy intimate restaurant near Place du Parlement. The atmosphere is very relaxing. There was not excessive noise which made our dining most enjoyable. Our server was very efficient tending to us when needed but not hovering. The food and wine were excellent and reasonably priced. This is a very comfortable restaurant to enjoy... More

I was the only English speaker in this small restaurant. The smell was encouraging and smelt of home cooking. The vegetables and other ingredients all tasted fresh. I found the portions generous and the choice of wines good. Service was from one lady who was helpful with my Gluten Free needs. The venue is small and homely - you felt... More
