Superb menu at this small restaurant

I had a really bad experience in this restaurant because the servant is not very kind, the rest is Ok and a litter bit expensive for this kind of restaurant. Won't came back again.

This is a small restaurant - capacity around 30. There is not much space between tables and no hanging area for coats. Staff are welcoming and service is very good. Unsurprisingly, given the location, the wine list is better than average and not over-priced. We tried the lunchtime "formule" which has a choice of 5 starters followed by 3 main... More

This is a wonderful restaurant in the older part of Bordeaux, which despite being small, never feels packed or crowded. Even though it isn't, it feels like it's family run and the service was excellent. We had the five course menu and particularly enjoyed the cuttlefish ravioli, the rest of the food was also delicious but the above dish particularly... More

My wife and I visited Croc Loup on the penulimate day of a short trip to Bordeaux, we spend a lot of time travelling and love to dine out, I have to confess to having a real interest in local cuisines and will sample them at every possible opportunity! Croc Loup is a smallish restaurant in Bordeaux's old city, it... More

A little beauty. Great professional but homely food. A choice of 4 or 5 courses in the evening (fish or meat = 4 courses - fish and meat = 5). Small, intimate and efficient. And good value. And good quality. Great cuttlefish. Great sirloin. Great puddings. Great service. Just what you need for a relaxing informal gourmet evening out in... More

We booked a table at Croc Loup after reading TA reviews and our expectations were met above and beyond - and between this and one other restaurant in Bordeaux, this was one of our family's (parents and 3 grown children) favourite meals of the whole 10 day holiday. Three of us went for the full prix fixe menu, with one... More

Spent 5 nights in Bordeaux and always had this restaurant on our radar. On a couple of nights we could not get in because it was too busy. We did try other restaurants in Bordeaux but the truth is that there are so many visitors to this lovely city that many restaurants do not have to try too hard to... More

A tiny little restaurant in the heart of Bordeaux, Croc Loup is stunning and a true find! We went with friends (they are UK restauranteurs) and had an absolutely wonderful meal - the food at least on a par with any dining experience we have had worldwide, the wine (St Emillion Grand Cru) exceptional and very reasonably priced and all... My husband and I had an amazing meal at Croc Loup on a recent weekend in bordeaux. It is a small restaurant, but well located in the old town of Bordeaux. The waitress gave us a complimentary cocktail on arrival and menus in English, which was great as our french is not great. Having had a fairly filling lunch already... More
