A real welcome and a great price

We visited this restaurant on spec having sat outside the Italian up the road for 15 minutes and being ignored. Our experience here could not of been different. The service was great and the 19 Euro menu good value. We topped it off with a 40 Euro bottle of Pomerol, which was one of the best wines... read more

It was a very busy night and the service was pretty slow. The expectation was for a good lamb dinner but it turned out to be just average blade lamb chops. Dinner prices although moderate were a bit high considering the average quality of fare.

On a cold, wet Bordeaux evening the four of us were welcomed and seated prior to opening time so we could shelter. The waitress was friendly and efficient. Each course of our meal arrive promptly and was delicious. The owner was the perfect host.

The food was good, I ate inside and it was great for people watching on a busy corner. The service was friendly and efficient. There was a good choice on the set menu. I have eaten here before, but this time seemed better.

Chose this place by wandering around and looking at menus. They are known for their lamb dishes and we wanted to try a variety so walked in. We were warmly greeted, and had our choice of tables as we had arrived early, and it was off season. It looks like it is frequented by some number of locals and it... More

Difficult to choose a place in old Bordeaux. Stumbled across this place and found it to be perfect. Very nice friendly service. A good menu and wine list and all reasonably priced. We ate inside (rather than on the street which was very popular), it had an excellent atmosphere and afforded a good view of interesting grilling activities!

I visited with my wife and a friend. We started with Oysters which were very small. The service was slow. We waited for more than an hour for the main course. My wife and I had lamb cutlets, they were tough. Our friend had the mixed meat kebab, the meat was inedible. We do not recommend this restaurant.

Faced with a large selection of restaurants to choose from, we were very glad to have picked this one- a delightful experience! Food was excellent quality and great value for money. My boyfriend was keen to try snails for the first time and was really enjoyed them here! We had the duck and the chicken for our mains and both... More

I came here with two friends on a Saturday night. The prix fixe menu was well thought out and was extremely reasonable. €19 for three courses, obviously excluding wine. Two of us had the foie gras for starter, and another one had the escargots. Both were very tasty; we could have perhaps done with a little more bread with the... More

As a family of four we came across this restaurant whilst finding our feet. We were very impressed with the menu so decided to grab a table and were not disappointed. The set menu is great value for money and the main course was a very high standard. Cooked over a wood burning fire the meat was cooked to perfection... More
