I had the menu fixe. It was OK. Really not much to say foie gras, bifteck, fromage. The service was slow, there was only 1 waiter for the whole restaurant. My expectations of food in France are generally quite high and I could never call this spot more than average. Very acceptable, but average.

Faced with a large selection of restaurants to choose from, we were very glad to have picked this one- a delightful experience! Food was excellent quality and great value for money. My boyfriend was keen to try snails for the first time and was really enjoyed them here! We had the duck and the chicken for our mains and both... More

I came here with two friends on a Saturday night. The prix fixe menu was well thought out and was extremely reasonable. €19 for three courses, obviously excluding wine. Two of us had the foie gras for starter, and another one had the escargots. Both were very tasty; we could have perhaps done with a little more bread with the... More

As a family of four we came across this restaurant whilst finding our feet. We were very impressed with the menu so decided to grab a table and were not disappointed. The set menu is great value for money and the main course was a very high standard. Cooked over a wood burning fire the meat was cooked to perfection... More

In a city with so many restaurants it's sometimes difficult to decide where to eat. We have been going to this restaurant for about four years and it has never disappointed. Over all those years the quality of the food, the attentiveness of the owner and staff have never varied. I am so pleased that over all these years and... More

Can't understand others perceived negativity when it comes to this place. We thought it was great value (we had the set menu). We really wanted to try frog legs..and well it really does taste like chicken! Ordered a half bottle of wine which was good value and were extremely full from the 4 courses and unlimited bread. We went on... More

Only stayed one night in Bordeaux and we were eager to try frogs legs as we didn't get time to try them in Paris. This restaurant was very easy to find - a short walk from the tram station. 4 course meal for 25 euros per person. Both had smoked duck salad for entree which was delicious. Had frogs legs... More

The waitresses were extremely efficient, with a huge number of guests and only three of them. There should have been more staff on duty! Tried to help me with Gluten Free needs but simply replaced everything with lettuce. I had the set menu Smoked Salmon and lettuce; King Prawns and lettuce; Grilled Lamb and lettuce; and for a change had... More

Nice restaurant in the hearth of Bordeaux but really nothing special. Slightly slow service at least at the beginning.

Came across this restaurant because all others we tried were fully booked, reasonably priced for food received, wine we selected not available so offered different bottle! Which wasn't great!! €25 for 4 course wasn't bad.
