Excellent-authentic basque cuisine...

We love to eat where the locals eat and we were taken by our hosts to this restaurant. We ate outside in the evening on the patio. Just across the road from the river in Bayonne, it is worth the 15 minute drive from Biarritz, to experience a impressively authentic Basque menu. It leans strongly... read more

I really hate to write this as the couple who owned the place were very nice, friendly, and really tried to make the evening go smooth. The food was just poorly prepared, and not very interesting. Do not be put off by location, area seems a bit run down. Good food, friendly atmosphere and reasonable prices. Did not book just turned up, will visit again when in the area.

Been in France a week. Staying in Biarritz. Not mad about French food... Until tonight. Fantastic dinner in a completely unexpected location. Weather was awful, took the kids karting and stumbled on this place. What a find. Fish for two was outstanding dish. We'll be back!
