superb food, caution - the price of wine

Superb food, excellent business menu for just 37 euros per person. Our company of 7 had carpaccio de lottes, covered with ground carrot and peppers and was simply fantastic. For a main course joue de boeuf braisee, with foie gras de canard and wild mushrooms was also very good. Dessert of... read more

Went with my family and though we were not fortunate enough to be seated in the famous windowed room, we still had an excellent time. Our food was superb (one of the most memorable first courses I've had -- cold crab and quinoa under a lime gelatin), as was our sommelier, Matthieu, who truly made the night easy and fun... More

Undoubtably one of the best restaurants in town. Creative cuisine presented in the most refined way, in a luxurious setting amongst the trees of the park d l' Orangerie. Frog legs were as good as you can get, with the most amazing accompanying sauce. Pigeon also brilliant. Only downside is that the service slacked off towards the end, but even... More

Went on a Sat night as a group of four. I had informed the restaurant of my vegetarian preference at the time of booking. The place (beautiful location within a park), the food, the service, & the wine recommendations were all excellent. They made a lot of effort to ensure that I also had innovative cuisine, even if 'off-menu'. One... More

We had booked this as part of a romantic getaway to Strasbourg, and were influenced by the reputation of the Chef, and our love of fine dining. This experience was faultless. We opted for one of the set menus which provided four dishes that included crab, white fish, duck and a chocolate dessert. The imagination and flair of the chef... More

We came here for my 41st birthday. We were placed in a romantic alcove and just everything was excellent! The food (me: non meat-eater, my husband eats everything), the wines, the bread... Pricy but worth every penny!!

Another visit, another great experience: from the amuse-bouche, entrée, plat, dessert and up to the bites with the coffe and the wines, every meal at the Buerehiesel in the past eighteen years has provided a wonderful memory. This time we were seated in the glasshouse, with a great view of the sunny park. Thank you, Mr Westermann and all the... More

Still a place where you get tasty and nicely presented food and a wonderful choice of good Alsatian wines. Maybe not anymore that very high standard as the father of the chef ruled .... The setting of the restaurant is marvelous (pard de l'Orangerie - what a charming name ;-) ): Just a place to dream ....

Booked a private room for a business dinner for 12 persons. We had some difficulties in advance with the reservation conditions but the Maitre d´Hotel sorted this out... Excellent service, fine food.
