Authentic Alscace cuisine in a fun part of town. A little touristy but a good mix of locals in there as well. The food was good, I had a dish with a mix of meats along with potatoes and 'kraut. Dessert was very good and their wine selection was good with reasonable prices. The service was a little slow, especially... More

It's a charming cellar restaurant full of tourists and local people but it isn't a tourist trap! Authentic alsacian food, big portions, very tasteful, great riesling wine! Ask for the menu in english. It right on the cathedral. You can eat there until midnight!

I researched where to get the best tart falmbee, this restaurant appeared to fit the bill based upon comments on trip advisor and elsewhere. How wrong the research was! We have had home cooked tart before and in other restaurants so we could compare. What we were served tonight was very ordinary. Burnt on the bottom and over creamed. I... More

The food was acceptable but not great and the service was absolutely horrible. The staff was unfriendly and very slow.

Believe me if you will but this is literarily one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to. To top of the lousy food standards I was confronted with rude staff which just made the dining experience utterly terrible and to an extent disgraceful to the French cuisine. In short: DON'T GO

The tastiest pork cheeks in Pinot noir! A delicious dish! We had an unfortunate incident where a lady fell head first knocking our table and water all over our food. The staff cleared everything and brought fresh dishes very quickly and handled it really well.

Good atmosphere, very busy but managed to get a table, nicely decorated and unusual. We decided to go for the local Alsatian cuisine. I had knuckle of pork, roasted in beer, but there was hardly any meat on it, I was disappointed as the cost was 14 Euros for in my opinion a small ham hock. My husband had the... More

I ordered a Chachuterie alsacienne as entree and a waedel briase for the main course. Both dishes taste great! Definitely one of the best I've had in Strasbourg. The price is reasonable.

We have read all the reviews in tripadvisor and we decided to dine in this restaurant. That was a bad and expensive choice. We had a cordon bleau, a tarte flambee and 2 beers. The taste of the cordon was terrible and the tarte was far from delicious. Finally, we paid a total amount of 40€!!! I can say that... More

In a city with so much choice, a lot of which was very expensive we found the Gurtlerhoft to be a good find. We were lucky enough to make a reservation about an hour before we wanted to eat - they were completely full later and we saw people turned away. The snails to start were delicious just a shame...
