We stopped here for lunch. The food was beautifully cooked and served by friendly efficient staff. We ate outside on the terrace which was delightful. Most of the other clients around us seemed to be locals, well known to the staff. Good value food with good portions.

Found this by chance and am surprised and pleased that it ranks so highly, currently 36th out of 810 restaurants in Strasbourg. It's in a fairly out of the way location but not too far from the historic centre. The actual setting is lovely, on one side of a sort of square/crossroads. It was a lovely summer evening so we... This restaurant was recommended by our hotel (Hotel de L'ill) and it didn't disappoint. It was very crowded outside, so we had to sit inside- which was fine. The food was regional cuisine and it was so good. Try the orange chicken!

My husband and me frequent this restaurant since 1992, whenever visiting in Strasbourg.we keep bringing visiters with who enjoy the place as we do. The food is excellent and yet not too expensive and creative in a suble way. The portions are big unlike many miniscule meals in some fancy french restaurants.

This restaurant was sandwiched between buildings and small streets and seating was just outdoors on this warm summer day. The place was packed. From what I heard around me, they were all French. Although we had no reservation we got a table for two. We usually do not expect too much politeness in French restaurants, but the waiter who took... More

We were staying in an apartment in Krutenau, which is a subirb of Strasbourg, and the restaurant was one block away... The atmosphere is pleasant. The only problem was we arrived at 7 p.m. (19:00), the restaurant was empty for another half an hour. That was a bit uncomfortable. As "entree" I had "Salade aux chêvre et munster frits", I... More

My husband and I dined at this restaurant on a not-very-busy night November 28th. The restaurant is located in a former church. This gives the interior and exterior of the restaurant some interesting architectural details. On the restaurant website, it is clear that the interior of the main dining room is dark in tone, somewhat old or 'historic' in decor,... More

We came to this place based on TA's recommendations, and were not disappointing. Very good service, romantic atmosphere, excellent food (the best cordon bleu I've had) and reasonable pricing, made this dinner a real treat!!

Loved the food and the atmosphere. Got a table on a rainy night, at the recommendation of our hotel. I had the traditional dish of suckling pig and sauerkraut cooked with plums; excellent! The service was very pleasant, and the decor of the place is charming. There's a great story goes with the name, and a mural above the bar... More

This is a great choice for tasty traditional food is a beautiful historic Strasbourg setting. A five minute walk from the old town, the restaurant's exterior will make your face light up, and you will break into a full smile upon entering the premises. The food and wine choices are satisfying, the service helpful, and the bill a pleasant surprise!
