Nice restaurant in centre of Strasbourg

My partner and I enjoyed the food at Au Renard Prenchant. The menu is quite extensive with a good cross-section of Alsatian specialities. Relatively affordable.

The restaurant is located in Kruteneau. The building is really beautiful outside but also inside. Concerning the food, it was so good and the quantity was enough. The quality and quantity is really what makes this restaurant so great. The waitress are also very kind. If you want to eat alsacien food it is perfect 😊

Located in the central Krutenau it was an old chapel , that was transformed into a restaurant around 1880. The location is fantastic featuring Alsatian design and a big fresco that redraw the history of the place. The food is what you would expect from an Alsatian restaurant , great and fresh local products and dishes. I suggest you take... More

i had the cordon bleu which was spectacular! with many different traditional sides...the service is good and the prices reasonable... the setting is very traditional as the house the restaurant is in (apparently since the beginning of time) is classical elsace style. make sure to call for a reservation as it is pretty full most if the time. the location... We had a great meal here during our visit to Strasbourg. The family that owns the restaurant also owns the newly renovated apartments next door. We sat outside and shared many dishes. They were truly delicious and the service and wine were great. The restaurant is located in more of a residential area, but just a five minute walk from... More

1. Ambience. Attractive outdoor seating but also charming Alsatian interior in what is clearly a very old building. 2. Service. Prompt and friendly. 3. Food. Excellent. We had the kidneys in a cream sauce and a steak poivre, both a pointe. Generous helpings. 4. Value. For Strasbourg, very reasonable. I really can't think of a single thing to dislike, and... More

We spent our last evening in Strasbourg in this restaurant. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a very relaxed atmosphere and we had a good evening. There were generous portions of food which was not exceptional but typical of the region. We enjoyed our time here

My company although based in La Wantzenau arranged a company dinner for 25 staff on my last visit. The location in the centre of Strasbourg offer the opportunity to wander around-historical Strasboug to build an appetite before sitting down to some local hearty fare. Our booking at 8pm which seems the usual time for locals to dine was already busy... More

This place is good. That is all you need to know, it's a bit out of the center of the city, maybe a little less than a 5 minute walk from Place Austerlitz. I have had the magret de canard (~16€) and the cordon bleu ('à la crème' is yummy (18.50€), but with 'nature' you get a bit of salad... More

We found the restaurant by chance at 11 pm (walking in the neighborhood) and the Trip Advisor excellence sticker draw our attention. When we entered, the waiter told us that the kitchen was closed. The next day we came back without reservation. We had to wait 10 minutes but (finally!) had a table near the kitchen. We ordered the boar... More
