Delicious modern French fare

My husband and I went on a date here during our trip to Strasbourg with our whole family. The food was amazing - I had smoked salmon followed by steak tartare and my husband had lamb. The ambience was lovely - we were seated downstairs in what felt a bit like a wine cellar but was very well lit... read more

I ate here with my family. The ambience is nice and full of young people. Table are close to each other but even so you do not feel really packed as tables are quite big. Food is OK, simple recipes but well executed and typical of the French cuisine, with a few innovative twists in the presentation of dishes. Staff... More

This is a small place, unpretentious but chic modern. Excellent food at reasonable prices. Not far from Place Gutenberg but not filled with tourists except for us. Service was pleasant and good. Definitely give it a try!

We had a great meal. Food is fabulous - I had a squash soup with chestnuts that was memorable, and the chicken cordon bleu was superb. Atmosphere is relaxing - somewhat modern in feel yet exudes warmth. Waiters were helpful and fun. A great experience.

We visited this restaurant for supper on Tuesday. We sat outside which was fine, but the tables were a bit wobbly! The beetroot gazpacho and the tomato tart to start were very enjoyable, and set high expectations for the mains... But these were overall a bit disappointing. The potato galette and smoked salmon was good, the chicken cordon-bleu was also... More

We went twice to this restaurant while staying in Strasbourg. The food was great both nights and the waiter was very helpful and patient with our limited French. My wife's tartare was the best she ever had! Great place to go before you see the amazing light show at the cathedral!

We had the plat du jour, amazing value, wonderful flavours, great service. I would highly recommend this lovely restaurant. We sat outside and enjoyed the atmosphere on the street, but it looked stylish and contemporary inside.

Small, but cosy, warm atmosphere restaurant. Modern interior with nice contemporary art on the walls - suits me fine. Calm and tasteful background music ( jazz ). Menu has many inspriring modern elements, but one can also find local, traditional meals. Well managed venue with a good service. Híghly recommended.

The front desk at our hotel (Hotel Gutenberg) managed to snag us a reservation for this gem for 7pm, but warned us that they needed the table to be clear for another party by 9:30. And while the bistro is unpretentious and there's no reason that the meal needs to last that long if you don't want it to, they... More
