Nice spot, very central of Strasbourg. Does probably the best steak tartare in-town. An address to be kept for sure.

Our hotel, la Cour du Corbeau, recommended this restaurant describing it as a "bistronomic" restaurant. It is definitely a gastronomic experience throughout the meal. A $35 menu will send you to the moon! It was an extraordinary experience

Their service could be better (they're French so I forgive them), but they nake it up with their magnificent plates! These look like little artworks themselves and have a very well balanced taste with it. Take your time, sit back at their little terrace, watch the people walk by in this lively street and let the food do the job;... More

Food was average to ok, well presented but quite bland favours. Didn't really have a good feel to it, music was wrong, staff were dry, prices were high.

It started out with friendly enough service until the gentleman waiting on us started cleaning up for the night, leaving us in the hands of a dry faced waitress! We were expecting big things from this place based on the reviews we had read. Not terribly overwhelmed by the food or service for the price. My meal was bland and... More

The food was great, the service even better. Wandering in with no reservation and a baby, the staff accommodated us with kindness and we enjoyed an excellent multi-course meal with the prix fixe 'Formule' for dinner. Interesting flavors, textures and great care with each course-- a 'salad' of seasonal vegetables consisting of turnips, carrots and firm cheese in a well-seasoned... More

While we were looking for another place that was highly rated on Trip Advisor, we end up coming here to eat and were not disappointed. Staff were great and made up for our very minimal French. Food, while a little more pricey, is still reasonable for the area and very good quality; the foie gras being a highlight of the... More

Stopped for lunch and its a great location and good fare. The menu and wine list (they were out of some selections) was a little shallow compared to other restaurants around as was the waiter's patience. The plat du jour (liver with onions) was spectacular. I would return just for that rarely offered option.

For a great Alsatian dining experience, I strongly suggest Au Petit Tonnelier. All dishes were prepared with fresh, quality ingredients and the service was brilliant. Prices were very fair and the service and location were great.

We found the "Petit Tonnelier" on Trip Advisor. It is very well located, a couple of footsteps away from the cathedral. The food was mostly excellent: I had the saturday lunch menu (very good value @ EUR 16.90) consisting of spanish Gazpacho soup followed by some very fresh and tasty mackerel. My partner had smoked salmon with roesti-style potatoes (which... More
