We ate here twice, first on the evening of a major holiday when most other restaurants were closed in Strasbourg. The second time we were four friends, we all had a full meal (first course, main course and dessert). Some of us took the very price advantageous menu. The "all you can eat" Carpaccio is excellent and copious. They have... More

Went in for lunch as it was raining and didn't want to look further for a restaurant. I should have known what the food would be like when the menu came on brochure style glossy cards with pictures of the food. Food insipid, bland and overpriced. Basic pasta dishes at €14-€18. Avoid as there are so many other options in... More

This restaurant worked well for us because we were the only ones there. We had 4 children with us and the staff was very helpful. The Menu options were good and we all had a nice dinner. It was nothing fancy, but for a hungry family it was good.

Have been a couple of times to Bistro Romain. Enjoyed their all you can eat beef & salmon Carppacio, would definitely go back to try their other cuisines. Good value for money, nice ambience and excellent service. Highly recommended

If you look for a cosy restaurant and great dood, you will be dissapointed. The carpaccio à volonté is ok, but not extrordinary. Worst of all is the service and staff. I've been to this restaurant twice now: they are not friendly at all and they ignore you - you almost have to beg to be served.

If you go to Bistro Romain you should take only one dish: Carpaccio, the only decent food. The quality of every other dish is so low that it is a total waste of money and time. We went there with my family during the first weekend with the Christmas markets, we chose Bistro Romain because we thought it would be... More

I don't understand the negative reviews for this place. We went as a family for lunch and had the menu "duo" at 15.90 and the "plaisir trio". The all-you-can-eat carpaccio supplement is well worth the price. One plate might be plenty already though, so make sure you're really hungry if you go for the "a volonte" option, otherwise just take... More

A regular for business in Strasbourg, I went to dine as I had previously in Bistrot Romain. I was shown (by a male server) to a table in a dark location between the windows with no light where I was placed literally to the side and less than a half metre from the back of a diner at another table....
