We stumbled onto Bistro Romain and had dinner. The food for dinner was excellent, staff were superb and on the back of this, we decided to have Christmas lunch here. The staff were different, the food was good, but not great and the service was less that perfect. Very hard to judge this restaurant, but overall I am happy with... More

I believe this is a restaurant chain in France which you can find in many cities. Well, I didn't like it. Atmosphere was unfriendly, service was slow, toilets were just horrible and food was not good. You can eat it, but is way too overpriced. No "soul" at all in this kind of places. The only good thing was that... More

The lunch menu was a disappointment with grisly, tough meat. The surroundings are pleasant but it seems the type of restaurant which really only welcomes big spenders/expense account diners. My pre-lunch coffee was excellent and the person serving it (with great delay), friendly whereas our meal waitress was minimally courteous. I don't think I will be returning; the nearby Cafe... We ate here twice, first on the evening of a major holiday when most other restaurants were closed in Strasbourg. The second time we were four friends, we all had a full meal (first course, main course and dessert). Some of us took the very price advantageous menu. The "all you can eat" Carpaccio is excellent and copious. They have... More

Went in for lunch as it was raining and didn't want to look further for a restaurant. I should have known what the food would be like when the menu came on brochure style glossy cards with pictures of the food. Food insipid, bland and overpriced. Basic pasta dishes at €14-€18. Avoid as there are so many other options in... More

This restaurant worked well for us because we were the only ones there. We had 4 children with us and the staff was very helpful. The Menu options were good and we all had a nice dinner. It was nothing fancy, but for a hungry family it was good.

Have been a couple of times to Bistro Romain. Enjoyed their all you can eat beef & salmon Carppacio, would definitely go back to try their other cuisines. Good value for money, nice ambience and excellent service. Highly recommended

If you look for a cosy restaurant and great dood, you will be dissapointed. The carpaccio à volonté is ok, but not extrordinary. Worst of all is the service and staff. I've been to this restaurant twice now: they are not friendly at all and they ignore you - you almost have to beg to be served.

If you go to Bistro Romain you should take only one dish: Carpaccio, the only decent food. The quality of every other dish is so low that it is a total waste of money and time. We went there with my family during the first weekend with the Christmas markets, we chose Bistro Romain because we thought it would be... More
