Lohkas, a winestub, was recommended by my hotel. I was there on a Saturday for a late lunch and the service was terribly sloooow. The servers were working hard, there were just too few for the number of diners. The food was OK. the salad with warm munster had far too much cheese. I was looking for a flammekueche, but... More

we had early dinner last night. We had the chucrut royal, and the entrecot with mashrooms. Very nice atmosphere, very kind service. The food was very good although next time we may not choose the chucrut royal, too much! the entrecot was perfect, sealed outside and raw inside! And the surpeise of the night was when they turned on an... More

With only one day in Strasbourg, I wanted to find a charming place with authentic local cuisine. Found it. Lohkäs is in the heart of Le Petite France neighborhood of Strasbourg. Not busy during the mid-day meal time, staff was friendly, attentive, and smiling as though they were genuinely happy to serve us. Their Coq au Riesling and spätzle was... More

Very nice restaurant, with great Alsacian food. We had three starters and two main dishes, and everything was really good, with a taste of homemade food. I had the Sauerkraut Royale, and it was perfect. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We surely recomend.

For sure one of the friendliest and more sincere service we've had in France. This restaurant is located in la petit France area, perfect if you can seat outside in summer, very charming inside. Everything we tried was good, from steaks, to the potato sausage with lentils and bacon and of course the sauerkraut. They have a mean creme bule... More

Lovely restaurant in La Petite Frace. We chose them because everywhere else was full though the restaurant filled up very quickly after we'd been seated. Service was good was was the food and wine but they do make the most decadent Foie Gras we've ever tried (flambéed in Reisling with a touch of Cognac and served with flambed apple halves).... More

I have been here two years ago and I can confirm this is a nice place to have a dinner in a very ideal atmosphere.

As it was freezing cold that day, we had lunch there, although we usually avoid places like these in touristic hot spots. My husband had a choucroute and the sourkraut itself was tasteless as could be, the sausages were average and so was my chicken in white wine. Other people also had this strange coq au vin, which turned out... More

What a great restaurant! I had read its reviews on trip advisor and the hotel had recommended it- so when my husband chose to play poker in Baden-Baden for the night I was on my own dinner-wise. I wanted a restaurant that was warm and inviting and had traditional alsatian food, preferably close to my hotel. What a find! As... More

Good service, nice food. Prices quite high. Would recommend for people who want to eat the real Alsacian dishes and drink some nice wine.
