Kobus is apparently a character from an Alsatian novel. Here it is a small restaurant with a warm understated decord, a hidden treasure of a menu in reasonable range. The food is excellent. I have a finger of foi gras. Steve has a “pizza” with fresh tomatoes gelee on top of a very crispy cracker with anchovy, iberico ham, and... More

Again selected the restaurant due to good online reviews. And it was a very good choice. Located in a easy side street close to main town area (but this is Strasbourg so it is usually within walking distance!), Kobus seemed small and cosy from the outside. We sat by the walkway so we didn't go into the restaurant. Do make... More

This restaurant is located on a very nice pedestrian street of the old part of Strasbourg. Depending on the weather it is possible to eat outside which is a nice feature in the summer. The menu is limited but its easy to find something for everybody. The kitchen is creative, nicely presented and the service is very good. Most dishes... More

Very french, no English translations but owners English, and humour, excellent. Small restaurant not extensive menu, but variety and quality of dishes was very good. Main point- location as shown on map is incorrect. Address is correct and is found on the cathedral side of the river.

This was a truly memorable meal. The food was absolutely outstanding - delicate, flavourful and nicely plated. The owner helped us by translating the menu and specials in English, and took time with us to talk through wines even though the restaurant was humming. All in all this was a lovely experience and delicious meal at an great value.

I really like this small and charming place. Personal service and thoughtfully prepared food. Its nitche is fresh ingredients from the local markets. The composition is interesting and the prices are reasonable given the quality. (25 Euros per entre). The restaurant is informal with great food. Just what I want on vacation.

My wife and I had a dinner on the New Year's Eve there and I had booked a table well in advance and paid eur 200 deposit to secure it. The service and atmosphere was ok, in general. What we totally did not like was the food; and both of us had exactly the same opinion about each of the... More

Visited Strausburg France on my yearly trek to Europe. We were looking for an authentic French restaurant for lunch. Got lost finding the one which was recommended so stumbled into this one. So glad we did. Cute place. Very friendly host who turned out to be the owner. Second bonus - English speaking. I had one of the daily specials... More

My wife and I went here in May 2013. Kobus serves haute French cuisine. It does not serve typical heavy fare from the region and this was a plus as far as we were concerned because much of the food in Strasbourg is too heavy for our palate. Kobus caters to a more refined taste and provides food which is... More

We were warmly greeted with a choice of tables. The decor is simple and modern. They spoke excellent English and they were happy to explain the dishes to us. They also helped us choose a delicious local wine to start off the night. My husband and I enjoyed the 40 euro/per person deal that same with an appetizer, main course... More
