Wonderful Alsacian food

We came here by invitation of a friend in Strasbourg. It is wonderful old world charm and decorations, truly Alsacian. The menu was in 3 languages which really helped and the owner herself tended to us. We arrived right when it opened, but it quickly filled, reservations are recommended. We... read more

Though it doesn't look special from the outside, its interior is all wood and has an appealing Hansel and Gretel look. I had a quite good whole foie gras with apples and a rich, meaty gravy, paired with an Alsace wine. Though the owner-server was not too warm, this is a good restaurant and tourists will have a good experience... More

My husband and I ate here last weekend when visiting Strasbourg. The portions are huge, the atmosphere is very cozy and cute, the staff is very friendly and everything was delicious! We shared multiple dishes since we read about the large portions in advance and LOVED doing it this way. The chicken in cream with mushrooms was served in a... More

We had dinner on the 31st of December, fixed menu at a considerable price, but worth while. As I don't eat fish, I got a replacing dish which made people look envious! It's local cuisine, a little heavy, but if you like this stuff, go there!! The owner is nice, the rest of the staff could do with some training.... More

My wife & I ate here, and were not prepared for the oil rich Alsatian food. Huge portion of chicken in cream and white wine. Both had tummy trouble afterwards. Knock out.

My family and I were very impressed with the food we were served. The ribs were the best we had ever had; better than Kansas City. The salmon was also excellent. The servings were large. Order less and share, or bring along a zip lock bag. The French don't typically send home leftovers.

This family owned spot is an excellent choice for dinner. We ate here after an all day wine tour. Family owned and delicious food. Foie gras on spatzle was very goos, as we're the ribs. This is the same restaurant reviewed elsewhere on the site as Fink'steubel. The reviews should be combined to avoid confusion. They also have a small... More

I have been coming regularly to Strasbourg for more than three years and I always stay in the Finkstuebel. It is cosy, the rooms have a lot of charm and the food is fantastic. 'Poulet au fermier Riesling' is my favorite, but also try the asperges in the season or the home made foie gras. Anyhow, everything in the restaurant... More

This is a very friendly, family run restaurant in a quaint neighbourhood near Petite France. The food is splendid, tasty and imaginative, and very good value. Wines are varied if a little pricey, but carafes are available and good. This is not a Tarte Flambee joint, and has a very interesting variety of proper Alsatian dishes, including unusually, some fish.... More

Living in Strasbourg for 10 years, I can sincerely tell you it's one my two favorite elsassich restaurant, even if it's a touristic place. Dishes are combining quality and huge quantity... Prices are reasonable except for the drinks (15-20€ for a dish, 4€ for a beer) I can advice you : le vol au vent de poulet and la salade... More
