Traditional Alsatian nosh at its best

If you wish to dine in the very heart of the historic centre this may not be the place for you. That said, Aux Armes de Colmar lies only a stone's throw from the cathedral in a small and quiet side street hard to find but well worth seeking out. Why? Firstly, for the traditional, hearty Alsatian... read more

Great local Alsacian specialties and wine. Staff is very friendly, great service. The desserts are also all home made. Highly recommended.

The phone call we made to make a reservation already was a good start: it was answered in a very friendly way. Once arrived, this continued: great reception, very friendly host. Price/quality of the food was also very good. It's not a very chic restaurant, but if you like to taste real Alsacian cuisine, we can only recommend to go... More

This was our first meal in Colmar after arriving late on a chilly Friday night and it hit the spot: a small, wonderful, family-run, very friendly place. The mixed salad was generous and seasonal and tasted as vegetables should taste, the tarte flambée had a delicate thin crust and the Baeckeoffe was hearty and rustic (spoiler alert: this dish contains... This is a light open restaurant with very good staff who were efficient and friendly. Two very good set menus - one local and one fish both for 24.50 Euros. Locally crudites means a small mixed salad which was one of the starters. Another was the same salad with a very large wedge of excellent quiche. The casserole main course... More

We arrived late but they didn't seem like it was any problem. The service was outstanding as was the food. We had a cassolette with ham and munster along with a lamb in cream sauce with mushrooms, fennel, carrots and potatoes. When we left, we were the only ones remaining in the resturant, but never felt rushed or pressured to... More

The menu is not extensive but appropriate for a small establishment run by a husband and wife team who are proud to serve fresh local ingredients beautifully prepared. The Onglet and the veal that were served as main courses were delicious and prepared with excellent mushrooms and other vegetables, the house wine selection was reasonably priced and of good quality....
