Cuisine Alsacienne, in a romantic setting

Historic and romantic location by the canal. Restaurant is situated in a deadend street, in a remote part of old-Colmar. Nevertheless a very nice place to enjoy a traditional Alsacienne dinner. We mostly went to Caveau Saint Pierre, because it is one of the few restaurants in Colmar that is open on a Monday. To reach the restaurant, you have to follow a little side alley away from the main street through petite venise and then you can find it after a right turn, right by the canal. Because of the... A challenge to find, our visit to this delightful restaurant was worth the effort. Our dinner was perfect except for the weather. The rain and cold kept us inside and unable to enjoy dining outside along the beautiful canal. Our party of four enjoyed typical regional dishes with an emphasis on sauerkraut and sausages and pork. All of our meals... More

The decor is lovely and location on the little canal very nice. The food...about average. We had the choucroute, a traditional dish of sauerkraut and meat. Their version was just warmed up kraut with a few different kinds of meat dumped on top. Very filling, but hardly the best you can do with that dish. Go here, but only if... More

From the moment you are received and followed to the table; menu options; arrogant service pushing anyone to understand french recipes to provide later a very low quality food. Bad prepared; tasteless ... Also dirty location. Dirty cutlery. . Very bad experience. .

We went on an afternoon tour of the wine road with Regioscope and our tour guide Chloe told us of ghis restaurant or we would not have discovered it. The restaurant is right on the river but away from the main hub. The ambience was outstanding both inside and outside. Although regional dishes were on the menu there were choices... More

Wow!! Best meal we had in Colmar! It is tucked back on the water canal nestled with greener and a scenic feel. The food and service were GREAT!!

Nestled beautifully along the canal of Colmar's Little Venice, this restaurant is a perfect treat for you to get the ultimate Colmar experience. Food: super delicious (must try the Chicken Cordon Bleu), and the Alsace wine selection: to-die-for! :D Oh, and the service that we experienced was very friendly and helpful. We will come again to this restaurant in a... More

Had dinner there at the end of December 2013, I had the Munster-filled cordon bleu and my partner had the Choucroute. We both loved our dishes, portions were big! We agree that the cordon bleu was amazing, tasty and cooked to perfection. Atmosphere is nice and location is lovely. Worth trying! I noticed the bad reviews from other customers... we... More

The three course vegetarian meal was delicious and attractively presented. I loved the honey glazed goat cheese and salad. The chef shared his secret of how to prepare it at home. We sat on a balcony overlooking the river. Very peaceful and romantic. I hope to return one day.
