Couldn't have been better!

We have been there for dinner, I like very much! The food is all traditional Alsatian and perfectly prepared, the foie gras served with tiny cubes of jelly and the tarte à l'oignon were just amazing. The price is fair and the ambiance is really nice. I would like to come back there! =)

The receptionist at our hotel recommended Chez Hansi for a traditional, non touristy dining choice. It was indeed a cozy, traditional restaurant with a charming server/hostess and very good food. We had the crudites plate as an entree and it was refreshing and delicious. The faux filet was excellent and the hen was very good. The fresh berry sundae was... More

Among the many commercialized eateries in Colmar Chez Hansi stands out as a real pearl. Pleasant surroundings, friendly and warm service, simple but excellent food and reasonable prices. Warmly recommended.

Server was adorable in her Alsatian garb and very nice. Meal was tasty and restaurant was very nice inside. Wish they had a/c is was hot inside. We loved the place, and they went out of their way for a gluten free diner.

We arrived at Chez Hansi for lunch time, in a rainy Saturday, and we were lucky enough to catch the last table available. The restaurant is elegant, in old Alsatian style; personnel in traditional costumes, very nice and attentive ladies. The food was very good. I had a very nice coq au riesling with spaetzle, while my wife had kidneys... More

We walked around and decided to come here just by the look of the front of the building. Very typical for Colmar. Inside, greeted by a woman full of smiles in a traditional costume, sat us down. Followed by a brief explanation of some of the local foods, we made our choice, me the Poached Chicken, my wife the Choucroute... More

We picked this place since it was supposed to be historical restaurant. The restaurant quickly filled up a little after 7pm. The waitresses all dressed in traditional costumes. Ours was warm and pleasant. The food was good but not spectacular. We also tried local reseilng wine which was very good.

The restaurant serves traditional style food in a very clean, uncluttered atmosphere. We had very good service but our waitress/owner?/ manager did not wear the traditional outfit as advertised. We started with store bought packaged pretzels. Ding number 1. We both ordered the onion soup with cheese croutons. It was very good, but not an onion in sight. My husband... More

It seemed a good place where to taste Alsatian cuisine, but as soon as we entered with our young baby boy (1 year old), we understood we weren't welcome: no children high chair, none asking for our orders, no service at all. Waiting for the waitress, we started feeding the baby, sited on a bench, crying because of the difficult... More

We had a delightful and delicious meal at Chef Hansi. I had searched for a restaurant that poached chicken in Riesling and I finally found it. Absolutely delicious dish. Very attractive decor and service was perfect. Just a joy to find.
