fine restaurant in Colmar

We were invited for a business dinner this summer, so the menu was already set. Though I spent a wonderwul moment; starting with the amuses, entry, main dish was fish, and dessert and coffee with a plate of chocolates and other French speciality of small portions of pastry. I didn't even know that... read more

Stylish restaurant, classic tasteful French cuisine, stiff service and inexperienced sommelier. The start of the evening was good, welcomed by the lady of the house who presented us the menu. A pity that if you order a glass of Champagne they don't serve it at the table. I'd like to see what I get... Food was good, tasteful dashi with... More

This is not just a meal but a whole experience. The restaurant has a clean, modern design which is comfortably stylish. There were six in our family and the tables were arranged in a rectangle so we were able to talk to each other with ease. It was also a very hot day and the air conditioning was very welcome!... Very much deserves its Michelin star. The food was beautifully constructed both in terms of taste/texture and presentation. The service was very good too. Would definitely go again......

Group of 7 for dinner last night. Food was delicious and the air conditioning on a very hot night was much appreciated. Lovely wines and good service.

We enjoyed a superb lunch at L'atelier du Peintre. The food was incredible and the service was impeccable. The 28 Euro lunch menu is unbeatable in terms of value. A must stop when visiting Colmar!

Just a few words: excellent one-star restaurant with high quality food and service and not exagerated prices. Only a slight remark about the service temperature of pinot noir (I definitely think it should be 16 degrees celsius, not 20!). Congratulations!

We loved the food at L'Atelier du Peintre! Although sitting outside was pleasant, I would skip that and sit inside as the tourist "train" comes within a hairs breath of the tables. The lamb was outstanding as was the fish. I would highly recommend dining here!

Give yourself a treat and visit this great restaurant. The five course tasting menu was original, creative and superb. If you don't enjoy the eating experience here you will be extremely unlucky as the attention to detail is second to none.

I shared an anniversary meal with my husband at this jewel of a restaurant. Every dish was plated beautifully and had many intriguing components. Great wine list. The service was impeccable.
