We chose to eat at the Petit Gourmand on our last evening in Colmar. We had yet to try the Alsatian specialty of choucroute garnie and did so there. It was delicious and such a generous portion that we were unable to finish it. We ate outside on the tiny deck on the bank of the canal and the chef... More

A fantastic small restaurant next to the river. With very good service and delicious plates. I highly recommend it to everyone. Visit it and you won´t regret it!

Chef Jean-Pierre Mas and his staff provided my wife and I with an exceptional lunch, while visiting Colmar. The riverside terrace could not have been more enjoyable. We later took the small boat tour and waved to our new friends as we glided by...Tres Bon! Without a doubt, our favorite dinning experience in Colmar!

Choosing somewhere to eat in Colmar when there for one night is tricky even with TripAdvisor's help. In the end this place away from the main drags and squares took our fancy with its main seating area over the canal (inside is really tiny!). I had the €25 menu and really enjoyed the onion tart and "meat-fest" choux-croute with a... More

It is a restaurant that combines the taste, the friendliness of the staff and all a customer expects, in a very small place. Terrace on the river is fabulous. We've had a salad for two, two plates and two bottles of wine and payed 112,50 euros. I recommend it!

Came here late Saturday evening on a recent trip to Colmar and were looking around for a while before picking this place, as there were plenty other places nearby. The staff was friendly, the food and wine was great and overall it was just a great place to have a fun late evening. It is pretty small and cozy and... More

Small restaurant with an inventive menu. Attentive service, amuse bouche right away, good wine pairings (we usually invite recommendations), something creative about every dish. Quite economical too. Wonderful location in the historic district on the river. The area is so nice you should wander a bit for your after dinner drink. Given the small size a reservation is defnitely recommended.

A tiny place, only have room for 15 people. We asked to dine at 20:30 but they insist that we can only dine at 19:00. By the name of the place & the attitude you would expect a fine dining experience. Well, it’s a bistro and not one of the best. Very simple local food & standard desserts. It’s OK... More

My mom and I recently visited Colmar and chose Le Petit Gourmand for dinner on our second night in town, mostly because of its location in the town's Petite Venice area. We arrived without reservations at about 6:50pm to ensure that we'd have a seat. By 7:15pm, all of the restaurant's tables were full! I imagine that the restaurant's ambiance... More

This must be just about the perfect spot in Colmar to try out the local cuisine in a beautiful outdoor setting. The 'petit' in the name is apt, as the inside dining area is indeed tiny. But really to appreciate the place you need to go there on a warm summer's evening, as we did, when the seating is on... More
