I had to take away a star because we had to wait a long time for our food, but when it came, it was worth the wait.
Popular restaurant with pub-like setting and atmosphere. We were the first group in but the place was half full 30 min later. Ordered the dishes from an English menu and this was helpful. The food was nicely presented and tasty. We particular liked veal in a mushroom sauce. Only gave a 4 star rating because the service was slow and... More
Escarot for starter was very good. The main course (meat with mushroom sauce) great as well. Outdoor seating on a nice street (and close to the city's main touristic sites). The service was somewhat slow, but not too slow. Overall, the impression is very positive.
We found this place by chance after our intended venue was fully booked but it turned out to be a good choice. It was a busy Saturday but we were offered a table in The Vault which had the attraction of air conditioning on a very hot night. Our waitress spoke good English and shared our amusement at the translation... More
There are many restaurants to choose in Colmar and many with very interesting dishes. I am quite particular about what I eat so am not really adventurous. It was suggested that we go there and I was not disappointed. They are often packed so reservations are needed. We had an appetizer which was good and the ham dish. I wanted... More
We ate dinner here with good friends who now live in Switzerland. The meal was outstanding, as was the service. Our waitress was French who enjoyed speaking in English with us. We sampled pate, escargots, delicious entrees and wines. Highly recommend.

The food was just OK - my tarte but singed around the edges and not fully cooked in the centre, my husband's steak was presented beautifully but... More
The restaurant has a warm and attractive appearance from outside, with meat roasting on a spit in front of the door. All the restaurants in Colmar were very busy, and this was no excepton, but they found a table for us in a downstairs room, not quite as atmospheric as upstairs, pehaps, but less frenetic. Service was very pleasant, and... More
This restaurant is popular with the local people, and for a good reason: it serves good quality traditional Alsacien food.
