Great surprise in middle of Colmar

You walk in this restaurant and are immediately transported in a different world. The owner greats you with a warm and authentic smile that makes you feel right at home. And this is also how you feel enjoying the "home made" taste of Syrian food prepared by the owners wife. If there is one thing of... read more

We were willing to eat something different than the Alsace classics that 2nd day of our trip. And this Syrian and Lebanese restaurant was all fine. Fresh, tasty, with all the classics as well as some clearly new discoveries beyond the mezes. Small place (probably less than 10 tables), so make sure you book. The owner is very helpful and... Sought this place out on a Monday night, our first in Colmar. It is a family run restaurant (wife and husband) with perfectly cooked food. Shush tawookwas was beautifully marinated and perfectly cooked, chicken that melted in your mouth. Kafka was also excellent, as well as the lamb shawarma. Falafel were warm and crispy, served with a great sauce (eggplant,... More

So pleased we found this restaurant - after 8 days of trying to find something to eat (vegetarians in France!). Delicious mezze plate - wouldn't fault a thing. Good service, air conditioned & right in the centre. Perfect meal.

This is a wonderful place. Family run and operated as best we could tell and the food is quite good. Not to mention a great change of pace form the traditional or even the French.

Lovely family run business; very hospitable. Authentic Lebanese style food. Air conditioning worked well on a very hot day in Colmar (39 C). All food well prepared and presented.

We were delighted to discover this Syrian-Lebanese restaurant in Colmar. We sat inside because it was so hot outside. There is some air conditioning inside, and although it's not strong, it was better than outside. Service was a little slow once the restaurant filled, but was always friendly and the quality and flavor of the food was wonderful. My husband... More

Terrific food, air conditioned! Suggest sitting at a table directly in the a/c air flow for best comfort on a hot day. Good price. Free water...,.as for a carafe and avoid the 5 euro typical water charges....it is unlimited, too. say 'encore' and they'll bring another and another....second visit just as good as the first. the lamb skewer/chicken mixed grill is... We ended up at this place accidentally on the way to another restaurant in the Petit Venise area. My husband was getting tired of meat-heavy meals, so we were thrilled to stop here. They have plenty of excellent platters for meat eaters but also accommodated me (a vegetarian) with a fantastic vegetarian sampler platter. I've had a lot of great... More
