I had cheese, roasted duck and tiramisu. Everything seemed ecological, as they claim, but it didn't taste well at all. There were no interesting tastes, the meat wasn't good, the dessert was even weaker. But prices are sky-high like in a gourmet restaurant. I would avoid this place.

This restaurant only has a doorway on the street that leads you down a hallway to the restaurant in back with the extra bonus of a delightful garden. The wines are superb, fitting accompaniment to the entrees which sometimes are limited to only two choices but don't worry, they will be delicious. Despite this restaurant's hidden location, it is sought... More

We had dinner at L'Arpege while we were in Colmar, and it was great. Service is excellent and the food is delicious. Not your typical Alsatian touristy food w/ lots of cheese and heavy cream. It's more normal French cooking. There happened to be a jazz band playing outdoors in their courtyard while we were there, which was lovely. If... More

Very nice small restaurant with indoor and garden areas. Bio food sourcing, as local as possible. Menu ever-changing with a kind of refined French home cooking feel. Unusual wine service: the entire range of ~15 wines is served by glass, 1/4 litre, 1/2 litre or bottle allowing guests to mix and match food-wine pairings as it suits them. All are... More

We enjoyed good food, nice atmosphere with a very efficient and enjoyable service from Greg, the owner of the restaurant. A young an enthusiastic person with an eager to please his customers. The food was pretty good.

After touring Colmar my daughter located this natural food style restaurant among the crowds... set back from the street with a "hidden" but very pleasant entranceway. Restaurant inside plus garden site ... weather permitting try for the garden ! ... enjoyed the wait staff - funny man with great sense of humor and the food was good. He recommended a... More

We were here on a chilly, rainy evening and had a wonderful meal: fish mousse, lamb stew and a cheese plate of local selections. The food was neither typical Alsacien nor high-end trendy- Just straightforward and very good. The staff was friendly and enthusiastic.

And we were not disappointed. Delightful Maître D spoke English and made us feel so welcome. The steak and fish dishes we chose were superb and beautifully presented as were the desserts! Sadly it was too cold to eat in the little garden which looked so inviting but the atmosphere inside was cosy anyway.

One of us cannot have cream or butter, a difficulty in France, where so much of French Food uses these two ingredients. The cook came out to consult with us directly, and what was prepared was inspired. The cook regarded our difficulty as a challenge rather than a chore.
