We went there on a sunday as it was the only Restaurant where we could eat at 6pm. The food quality was poor (convenience!) and very expensive. Service was ok. We left most of the food because it was horrible. We wouldn't go there again!

This became our favorite place to eat in Colmar, it was centrally located (right across from our hotel) and it had a variety of items on the menu. The first time we went we ordered off the French menu, didn't realize there was and English/German version of the menu (be sure to pick your correct menu). Onion soup was wonderful.

I've eaten a lot of pork knuckles or equivalents in a variety of countries, but theirs was absolutely the best. Actually returned there another night just to have it again! Their roestis (casserole) are tremendous too. Busy, but the servers stay with it and are friendly and helpful into the bargain. It's not even expensive for the area! Go here,... More

For a busy 'tourist' street, we really liked the service here. We stopped here about 3pm on a Friday just for a snack and drinks and were treated very nicely. Seems like a lot of tourists stop here - it is a nice street. But they didn't feel jaded by the tourist trade. We just had frites but they were... More

Very friendly waiters, good tasting food, great portion sizes and served piping hot and in good time for fresh food! I would recommend this place as one of Colmars safe options. Always busy, good hearty and filling food, good atmosphere and good staff.

This is a tourist place by far and the patio has a really nice view on part of the canal . The prices are average as is the food. Their rostis are their hidden secret . The problem is the service. They are so used to tourists that they have taken on an assembly line mentality with no personal touch... More

We regularly go to Colmar to enjoy some Alsacien atmosphere and eat "Flammkuche". Once in a while, we go to Schwendi, because we were always happy. This time, we sat outside and ordered two different Flammkuche (Schwendi and Munster) and some red wine. The wine was nice, good for the price. We didn't order any of the grand Crus, so... More

Colmar has lost all it's glory.... On Monday's and even Sundays good Alsacien restaurants are closed. We escaped to this Winstub. Not a good choice... Low quality Alsace wines, rostie-dishes very greasy, choucroute expensive and have had much better ones.

This Winstub was directly across sthe street form our hotel and we ate there twice. Food was just OK, but some of their wines were among the best we had on the trip - Grand Cru's at very fair prices. The terrace was a pleasant spot to sit and watch the world go by (including the "parade" following a World... More
