We went in December for lunch, it's a good location just next to the Christmas markets in Colmar, and we were a big group of 10 people with 4 children, and was given a big room up some stairs, lots of space for two other families as well, children had highchairs, the setting was lovely, the room had a good... You hardly notice the place, and the inside is just old fashioned and cosy. A carefully set up menu and a thick wine list gives you a hint of what to expect. Wait till you get your choice served, you will be delighted. And you feel even better when you pay the bill. So much good taste and such attentive... More

This unassuming restaurant in old town Colmar France is Michelin rated and deservedly so. My husband had veal with mushrooms and I had the Charcroute, which is served table side. Both were delicious, with nice portions, attentive service, and a nice wine selection. We started with a kir royal, then a bottle of wine, plus the two entrees, all for... More

I had the traditional Alsatian fixed price meal with Choucroute Garni. This has large amounts of sauerkraut and 4 kinds of meat - sausages, pork and bacon and also potatoes - all very delicious. My husband had fish and then helped me finish my food. Our waitress spoke 3 languages and was quite a character, running from table to table,... More

We've dined at Restaurant Bartholdi perhaps five times in the past 25 years, whenever we have the good fortune of being in Colmar. It is always a lovely experience. Food is classic with regional specialties and some new twists. The gambas grille' with confit d'oignon and lemon rice was a delight. The rognons de veau, a classic dish and excellent.... More

While visiting the most beautiful city of Alsace - Colmar, we went to this restaurant and we haven't regretted! All food was so delicious! Firstly we got frog legs and tuna tar-tar - oh I love it! And after we ordered mussels in white wine. It was served in a pot, which was warming during the dinner by small candle.... More

We had walked past Restaurant Bartholdi several times, and were eventually drawn in by the Bouillabaisse sign in the window - a dish they pride themselves on. And we were not disappointed. Despite being a busy Saturday evening, the staff were attentive at all times; returning repeatedly to serve from a copper soup tureen which had been set up on... More

The fish choices here were great and the friendly service (all in French) made our evening. The small courtyard at the rear is worth reserving if you can.

The place is well known and has a good reputation but the food is tasteless and does not tell you anything. Raw materials are nothing special and the dishes have no taste. Products are paired without taste and you will end up with a "not worthy" feeling. Up to you if you want to give it a try but if... More

After discovering this restaurant, we ate here every evening and even one lunchtime. The food was exceptional and the service oustanding.
