Serving a variety of real ale with pretty good food - I am told - is proving to be a hit. Often packed at weekends - standing room only - when it is quiet (midweek), it is a lovely place to chill out with a newpaper. Well-recommended.

Had the lamb burger with goats cheese, the missus had the steak and mushroom pie, both were excellent, you will not leave hungry. The beer is worth a look at with an interesting collection on offer
