great chinese cafe

In Chinatown this is one of the most authentic places you can find. It's cheap and full of chinese people and that's good enough for me.

This restaurant was found by accident (one of 8 opposite the hotel) OMG It was sooooo good, I went back the second night. This restaurant is heaving all the time, and its main customers are the Chinese community, which says a lot. Children are welcome. The food is served fast, and the food is superb, I suggest the Banquet, £20... More

Great find on Faulkner Street. You know it's good when it's packed day and night with both Chinese and non-Chinese clientele. It does noodles, roast pork, roast duck and other fast food rice dishes very well. Dumplings are sublime. Must try if you like real Chinese food.

Visited with 4 colleagues and had the £20 per head set banquet, each course was delicious and the quality and quantity on offer meant none of us went home with any room to spare! Not the most elegant of surroundings but the food and price mean this is a must visit for those who enjoy Chinese food.

I had been out for a few drinks after work and was craving Chinese food! I turned up just as the kitchen was closing, but after asking very nicely, they agreed to dish up some chicken chow mien, which I have to say was one of the best I have ever had. Top marks for keeping the kitchen open and... More

during our recent stay in Manchester we promised ourselves that we would have a meal in Chinatown. after walking round and looking at all the other restaurants we decided to try happy seasons. what drew us to this restaurant was the fact that you had to stand in the queue and wait for a table, which to me said very... Birthday evening out with better half. Thought we'd give the place a try due to the good reviews. We waited about 15 minutes for a table which was expected. The service was pleasant and polite. Some menu items were not available due to supply issues. The food was unfortunately very average - we opted for duck, house special noodles, satay... More

Always find ourselves returning here for genuine Chinese food. Their barbecued meats are superb - soya chicken, crispy belly pork, roast duck and char siu. Coupled with won ton soup with noodles: amazing! Yes it's scruffy but service is fast and friendly and the toilets are clean if basic. Only bottled beers and a limited bar. For fast, authentic food with... More

Ok the outside is terrible who cares?? The tables and chairs have seen better days ,who cares?? You're here for the food and you just can't fault the restaurant on this one, my 3 roast on fired rice was just delicious and my wife's Szechuan chicken had a sauce so thick and tasty I had to stop her licking the... This place is amazing we have been coming here for years, they do the best set meal in china town. The service is great but the food is the real star. Book in advance as it is really busy.
