Honest , quality cooking

Three of us came in the early evening , following attendance at Comic Con. We got a table straight away, and had a delicious meal. The restaurant is small, with no frills, although there is a small aquarium for the curious and easily bored ( I always associate these with Dentists !) We have visited this restaurant twice, initially we came across this by accident after being spoken to rudely by another resturant nearby as soon as we had walked in. This restaurant doesn't look much but the food was excellent, service too with friendly staff who had time to explain the menu to you.

Located along Faulkner Street in Chinatown Manchester, this place is good for tasty chinese food. Don't go there for nice decor, nice ambience. Go there for the food. Price of dishes range from £6-10. Vege around £6, beef £8, noodle dishes £7. Good food, try it.

Went here on a friends' recommendation and certainly not disappointed. The small queue outside at 7.30pm and a 20 minute wait for a table told its own story. For simplicity we chose "Set meal A" as it contained everything we wanted. We could not have predicted either the quantity or the quality of the food. Both excellent and incredible value... More

Was staying in Manchester with a work colleague on business, and we didn't realise that our hotel was around the corner from Chinatown. Had a little wander around, but we both really fancied trying this place. What a fantastic choice!! The menu was great and we ordered a variety of dishes. Everything that we ate was absolutely delicious. We both... More

Last ate here on Sun 21 June. Restaurant being small, there is always a queue for tables as it is such a popular eating place...which says it all really! The food is superb - very authentic, tasty, piping hot and attractively presented. Staff efficient, friendly & obliging. We had Crispy Aromatic Duck with Pancakes, Roast Belly Pork on a bed... More

Been coming here for years. The roast chinese meats are the freshest you can buy on daily basis. Not much write than to second most of the comments made by others. A great place for a quick lunch or dinner when cooking is not an option.

The place is very small and rather cramp and the service is a bit slow as looking about there aren't that many service staff within the restaurant. The food is surprisingly good and is value for money considering the amount we ate.

The roasted duck rice is actually quite delicious, and the portions are very generous (a plate is probably enough for 2 people). It might be better to order takeaway, as the restaurant environment isn't great. The tables are very cramped together, and the place feels mildly claustrophobic. Also, the carpet was super dirty. Service was tepid, and it seemed like... More

I discovered this restaurant two years ago and I still love it. In my opinion it is one of the best places to eat authentic Chinese food in Chinatown. The place is not elegant, it's small and busy. So if you want a quiet place to eat go elsewhere as in here you might have to share a table with... More
