Great stuff

The staff were good fun at the Happy Seasons which is always a bonus and the food was great. We had salt and pepper ribs, prawn dim sum, satay chicken and schezuan chicken which were all nice. It is quite a small place so would fill up quickly I should imagine in busy periods. Will visit again.

We went for lunch today. Half a roast duck, crispy pork, choi sum in garlic & noodles. It was fantastic. Got there at 12.30 and had to wait for a table because it was so busy. We thought we would be one of the first in there but we weren't. Worth the short wait. we will definitely be back there.

Really impressive good and efficient service. Had the banquet for 2. £40 for 2 which wasn't cheap but the food was excellent and portions were generous. Had got and sour soup to start, then sharing platter with ribs, prawn toast, seaweed and spring rolls. Then duck pancakes. Main course was amazing prawns and sizzling beef. Would definitely recommend. We booked... More

I can fantasise about eating here. Fabulous hot pot dishes, braised beef, belly pork. Soups are great. Roast meats over rice or noodles. Not standard China Town gloopy sauces. Yum, will be there for lunch tomorrow.

Really delicious Chinese. We chose it based on the TripAdvisor score and it did not disappoint. We started with a lovely Chinese red wine snd continued with some excellent crispy duck. I had the beef with oyster sauce and my husband had the peking chicken. Both were great. Recommended.

Early evening visit, very busy with local Chinese families and groups of friends. Cafe style inside, nice and clean. Friendly staff, quick service and the food was really good. Loved the salt and pepper ribs, sharing plate starter, the char sui pork portion was huge, Kung po king prawns, duck with noodles and rice dishes good too. Would visit again.

Wandering around Chinatown trying to decide where to eat and we came across this place. The restaurant looked busy which is always a good sign and there were Chinese families eating there. A customer on his way in said, "try it, you won't be disappointed". So glad we took his advice, yes, the interior is shabby, but the food is... More

My workplace is not far away and this place is rapidly becoming my favourite spot to eat Chinese food in Manchester. The quality of the ingredients is indeed the best I have seen here. On the downside the place is rather small, so a shot wait is sometimes necessary. The decor is simple, a bit shabby even but the food... More

If you're missing Chinese food, you could do far worse than this place, which seems popular with the locals. It is far from the best Chinese I've had, but I live in Asia. By that metric, it's appropriate for the price and location. The roast pork (char siu) is very nice, so anything with that in it is likely very... More

Wandering about wondering where to eat several years ago we decided to try Happy Seasons. Our first impression was of people ordering far more than they could eat which suggested they wanted to range their tastes over something significant. We were not so venturous but thoroughly enjoyed what we ordered. Returning to Happy Seasons has been a rich pleasure. The... More
