A Little Bit of China

Friends and I have eaten here 6 times now despite living over 100 miles away. We need no excuse when visiting anywhere near. We were first attracted by the fact that it was almost entirely full of Chinese people of all ages. It did not disappoint. Very authentic and delicious food in a very... read more

I went here on the back of recommendations from 3 work colleagues who advised this was one of the better Chinese restaurants in Manchester and I will be berating them. I waited with a friend (at least i hope he is still a friend) in the rain for nearly 30 minutes for a table safe in the assumption we were... More

Love it here. Great value for money, authentic Chinese and a nice atmosphere. Really recommend the duck and ribs.

After a mistake last time I was in Chinatown I checked on Tripadvisor first. It certainly looked ethnic and authentic but more importantly it was fairly crowded at 4 p.m. with a mixture of clientele including Chinese customers. I ordered hot and chilli ribs, hot and sour soup and roast duck with fried rice. All the food was excellent and,... More

We were going to another restaurant in Chinatown but noticed more Chinese eating here and roast ducks in window (with necks attached - a good sign). Great duck and sizzling beef in Cantonese sauce recommended.go for roast duck/ 3 roasts (duck, char sui, roast belly pork) rice and a main dish - it's enough rice for 2.

I come here regularly and you can always guarantee great food for your money. The service could be better but they are always friendly and efficient. The decor is very basic and a little dated, a refurbishment would really make a difference. I usually have the vegetarian spring rolls (which are always REALLY yummy), followed by vegetable singapore vermicelli or... More

If you want posh decor then this is not for you. If you want great food at a reasonable price this is the place for you. Quite simply the best Chinese food I have ever eaten. Would give 6 stars if I could. Fabulous!!!!!

Very busy place no matter what time you go and there are plenty of Chinese eating there which is always a good sign. The service was good and friendly and the food very tasty. Would definitely come back.

I ate here on the general recommendations on this site and the fact that the Yang Sing was a lot more expensive. As I entered I was ignored completely for about 6-7 minutes. There were no spare tables so I waited patiently, then ended up sharing one as I was hungry. I had chicken with straw mushrooms and bamboo shoots... More
