Great pub great history

Have been going in Sinclairs for over 30 years and it's still my favorite pub in manchester. They have moved the pub twice in its history once on rollers and once brick by brick. It has a great seating area in the summer that gets very, very busy the beer is cheap but good and the atmosphere is... read more

Having been here a good few years ago we decided to call in Saturday night... BIG MISTAKE! Rude staff served us drinks from the limited choice on offer. The cheapo plastic glasses don't help the image so I imagine they could be to protect the rude staff whenever someone "loses it" with them? Joking aside this is a historic city... More

Old pub in Manchester City centre. You get the atmosphere of course but the toilets were filthy and disgusting. Just to give you an idea, there was no toilet roll in the gents and dirty toilet rolls were all over the place.

The staff attitude was appalling I ventured in sinclairs after watching a play and missing my train The bar man snatched my money and slammed my change in my hand all whilst swearing to each other My mother and I went upstairs to use the toilet and got told three times to go back downstairs They started clearing away at... After being in the old Wellington walked across to sinclairs oyster bar, expecting the same level!! NO, staff arguing over dirty pots in the lift!!!!!!!! The poor guy that was serving us was blatantly embarrassed by the shocking attitude! Will not return. Maybe cheap but attitude appalling!!!!!!!!

I was excited when I saw the Sam Smith's beer pumps but was greeted with "no dark mild" when I ordered a pint and a half. No smile or friendly greeting in here, no please or thank you when taking payment. The guy had a generally couldn't be bothered attitude and I'd avoid this place again for that reason alone.... This place is always full of so many characters and a great atmosphere. Ideal to sit outside in the summer months and massive area inside for the winter months. Ideally situated in the centre of manchester.

Met up with some friends from out off town and it started off as a nice evening apart from the rather ignorant bar staff, we were told that they closed at 11.30 which was fine by us. At 10:55 we got our final drink and were sat there quite happily chatting when at 11:05 this very large menacing looking man... More

Always a good time had by many in sinclairs oyster bar. I've never looked back since finding this gem in the city centre. All their beers are Sam Smiths products which are possibly not to everyone's taste but at £2 a pint what have you got to lose. Never had a problem in the oyster bar and they will certainly... More
