Myself and a few friends decided to go to piccalinos for a drink after being in Altrincham. This, we'd done nearly every weekend. As soon as we walked in we were looked down on. We sat down outside (which we have done everytime we've come) and a gentleman who looked like the head waiter came outside with a raised voice... More

Visited this late on sat 7th. Initially staff and manager warm and welcoming however this changed the moment the manager left. The food was average, steak thin and fries overdone however the limoncello was 1cm deep in shot glasses a real rip off! When the bill came we paid cash and waited for our change then waited and waited, you... More

Staff so warm and welcoming and remember you from previous visits even if a long time ago. Inviting surroundings and atmosphere, go as smart or casual as you like, you will be made to feel welcome. Food gorgeous and always hot and cooked to perfection. Favourites include their mains of carbonara and lobster and chilli prawn starter, also chicken livers... More

We went on Saturday eve visiting Manchester with friends for the weekend. The ambience, service and food was excellent, the staff were certainly busy but they were still superb. Will definitely return. Well done

Being from Australia we are trying as many restaurants as possible while in Manchester. Unfortunately this was a disappointment. It feels too up its self. On the Thursday night with tables still available at the entrance area, we were pushed downstairs on our own! Ok we were three guys but no need to hide us away...the bread first was dry... More

This was our first visit, with friends, and came away with a good impression. We ran late, but this did not seem to be a problem for staff, and we eventually turned up just after 9pm. The restaurant was busy but looks lovely - I have to say some of the photos on other reviews seem to be of a... More

Tuesday evening , restaurant almost empty and yet we were in and out in in 40 mins , having had starters and main course . Waiter agreed , revealing they are pushed to turn customers around to target times .... Food was good , the waiter friendly but please slow down , starters arrived within 5 mins of ordering ,... Been for lunch today . We have been to this restaurant for many years but not regularly lately. The manager greeted us like long lost friends. We had a drink at the elegant bar, then lunch. The food and wine was excellent The service was first rate. Restaurants come and go in this city but Piccolinos remains one of the... More

Been to several Piccolinos in the northwest and the experience is always pretty similar throughout them. The menu is the same so tends to be the same . My wife and I shared the antipasti plate to start whilst our son tucked into the trofiete di pollo which he always devours. I had the carbonara which is nice just nice... More

This is the second time this month we have had Sunday lunch here .At a very reasonable £25 for two we have tried the pork & today the beef! I would absolutely recommend this restaurant !
