if you know your rice and three places then you will definitely have heard of this. Always busy and always with a good selection of home cooked curry dishes served with rice for under £5. What more could you want. Takes some finding but once you know it then you know it. Great for lunch time treats and is certainly... More

These guys do the curry/indian food the way it should be. A bit of tradition is also kept by serving everything in a plate, and good portions without the oil and the unnecessary red-ish/spiced up layers. It's run by a family, in a homely manner that also reflects in the output. One of the owners comes around asking for if... More

I was in Manchester and looking for somewhere casual to eat (alone!) and came across reviews for this 'curry cafe' online... All the reviews are correct- This place is amazing. Like other reviewers say, the cafe is tucked away down a little road so can be hard to find... Also, the appearance from the outside may be a little off-putting... More

Absolutely fantastic the rice and 3 is good value for money and the food is out of this world its beautiful. The only thing i would say is don't judge a book by its cover if it hadn't of been recommended by a reliable source i'd of walked away. Trust me looks can be deceiving you won't be disappointed take... More

My mind and palate were returned to the time of my youth whilst travelling in India by train: the food served at this cafewould be difficult to distinguish from the sort of food one eats on a tight budget from any of the Pakistani or Punjabi vendors on the indian railway system, which is surprisingly good... All that is missing... More

A great experience. Don't forget it's a cafe not a Resteraunt. But it's so good. Not much choice of food but that's the charm. Super cheap, super tasty. Strangely it really suits the northern quarter.

There is a formula here and if you want a filling meal with 3 spoons of curry and rice for under a fiver then you're sorted. This and that clearly has a great local following, judging by the queue outside the door of everyone from office and shop workers to tradesmen of all descriptions. The menu changes daily and the... Fantastic authentic food, always excellent value. Dont be fooled by the look of the place or the area - the food is excellent. There is a choice of 4 or 5 dishes - Keema really good. You can have Naan Bread too. It may be cheap and cheerful and resemble a transport cafe but you won't get a better meal... More

Tucked away in a little side street of Thomas St. in Manchester's NQ "This & That" is a great find at lunch time providing cafeteria style tasty curries for around the £5 mark and here you are having rice and three different curries from a good choice of chicken, lamb and vegetable varieties. Add onions and coriander and help yourself... More
