Description: Manchester might be awash with slick dining outfits but none quite like Ning. Unlike many others, Ning values subtlety and sophistication both in its style and its cuisine. Influenced by the noodle bars of Asia’s cities, this Northern Quarter venue offers a bustling ambience somewhere between trendy canteen and chichi bistro. With polished wood tables, voguish floral patterned wallpaper and candlelit tables, the interior strikes a similar balance of fashionable buzz meets classy intimacy. The South East Asian fusion menu offers mainly Thai and Malay dishes made with fresh ingredients, free from MSG. Ning’s chefs pride themselves on producing a concise menu of carefully selected and well cooked dishes.

You're greeted first through a draped entrance before being seated in a very well decorated room. With a range of dishes, I opted to stay with my Malaysian regular dishes....which came warm and with flavour! The chocked satay was soft whilst the beef main dish was the best I have had...better then 2/3 places I have visited in London....One of... More

A variety of south east Asian dishes. Everything I've had here has been delicious. Went in a large group once and service was slow but would still recommend.

Had a fantastic meal here with 3 friends, very personable staff made the dining experience a real treat. Fantastic food and great house wine options. Would happily recommend to groups and couples.

Went last night with my husband, all the food was amazing, very fresh and cooked perfectly, Great recommendations by the waiter and no overpriced wine. Would really recommend and would go back to try something else.

We adore Ning. Warm staff, beautiful decadent interior (black with purple orchid feature walls and purple wicker chandeliers). YOU MUST TRY the pad tai. So authentic, warm with nutty crunch, melting chicken and zesty with lime. Also try the rose syrup drink-taste exactly like turkish delight, amazing. NEEDS to be on your Manchester to-do list.

We were a party of four and had starter of Chicken Murtabak which we found rather tasty but a bit expensive for 4 small pieces at £7.25. The Gado Gado salad was also very tasty and one of our favourites out of the starters we chose. We also tried their 'summer special' of Mackerel Rice Paper rolls which were also... More

We were slightly hesitant when we arrived outside the restaurant as it didn't immediately look inviting. How wrong can you be? Great menu. Gorgeous food. Friendly service. Upbeat atmosphere. Try it. You won't be sorry!

Never had malasian food and not really looking forward to it. The small restaurant was clean and pleasant and staff attentive . The food was tasty and personally I did think the place was expensive , I would not say cheap , but a fair price . Option of 2 courses for £15 looked a good deal . I would... More

Having eaten dinner at this restaurant this evening I'm really impressed. Diligent and courteous serving staff, a very nice cosmopolitan feel to the upmarket ambience. Each dish was well presented and delicious. Definitely discount the reviews from the snotty Londoner's. They wouldn't know cool and chic if it it came up to them, slapped then in the face singing "hey... More

It was our wedding anniversary and we decided to visit Ning at the last minute. Then food as always is of a very good standard - I had the Masaman Curry whilst my wife had the seabass. We were given dessert on the house, which was a nice touch (even though we were completely full by this point!) Their banana... More
