Disgustingly poor quality dim sum topped off by terrible service. Me and my wife ordered during lunch and after serving us one dimsum dish, there was a lengthy delay. We inquired politely if the order had been forgotten and was told rudely by the managress (her non- uniform) you can either wait or pay the bill and leave. Shockingly poor... More

This is probably the worst Chinese restaurant I have been to. The entrance looks like a slum, the food, from the special lunch menu, atrocious. Service involved a lot of arm-waving. The second floor Thai buffet is closed. My hosts paid: thank goodness. Anywhere else has got to be better.

We went for lunch on a sunday and ordered a selection of dim sum, noodles and buns. There was a good variety of food on offer. However, food was quite bland. Overall it worked out as pretty cheap for four people (36pounds) but food wasn't great.

We go to Pacific quite a lot when we're in Manchester. It's often very busy with groups and families which is always a good sign. The food is delicious. Seriously delicious. Everything we've ordered has been great, served fresh and very hot without being greasy or oily. The service we've had has been consistently awful. Ignored by staff, 20 mins... More

Went for dinner last night and had to send chow mein back because it smelled and tasted of cigarettes. The waiter didn't seemed surprised one bit. They took the price off the bill but then tried to over charge us by over £20, the bill was not itemised and they had also added on a 10%service charge. The rest of... More

From the reviews I wasn't expecting it to be so modern, but certainly the decor was refreshingly bright and uplifting. However, I couldn't see much of it because, as a single diner, I was placed in a secluded position behind a pillar, even though the restaurant was not busy at all. Also, the position was close to where the empty... More

Good yum cha. Busy place. We went after asking someone on street where to go. Food tasted freshly made and came out hot. Good friendly service. Accommodated kids. Only place we have tried so far in manchester but would recommend. We have eaten a lot of dim sum/ yum cha in NZ and Australia and in Asia in past but... More

We have recently been to this restaurant for a get together. When you enter up the stairs it seems like most of the restaurants in China Town, however get past the initial impression and order from the set buffet menu for 4 people and you will be presented with an abundance of extremely hot and very tasty food. Be careful... More

I am a regular, have been frequenting Pacific for a couple of years for dim sum. This place is great, good location, good food and good service. There was once when the place was absolutely heaving and my order was actually forgotten but when prompted and reminded about the missing food, staff was very apologetic and the food came quickly....
