Slick, attentive service

An enjoyable experience. Warm welcome, meet, greet, seat, menus, water, bread - all the basics on arrival were there - sadly lacking in other institutions. Combination of 2 and three courses each - a la carte on Sunday lunch menu. Tasty, well cooked with a slight French influence. Wines a little... read more

Visited last month with friends, it had been a while since I visited this restaurant, I used to love it. Nothing to put your finger on that was wrong, the scallops were large and properly cooked and my duck again was cooked correctly but the flavours were not there everything was slightly bland and a bit boring. Service was efficient... More

Staff know what they are doing (they are French). Taken to table, water brought right away, with menus and wine list . This does not happen in most restaurants

No complaints. Met at the door, led to our table straight away with menus and wine list. Knowledgable and experienced staff (all French it seemed). Quality food and wine for a reasonable bill. It isn't cheap but it isn't too expensive. You are getting what you pay for. 4 people, 2 bottles of wine, 2/3 courses each - £140.

I used to love the Lime Tree but having returned after a two year break I was so disappointed. From the strange smell when we entered to surley service and mediocre food.

It's been 4 years since we have been here and had many great meals over the years. we booked early as friends had to be away by 7 and so we arrived and all the doors were open - which we like but we think a cat must have got in a sprayed during the day - ugh. Despite this... More

This is, in my opinion, one of the best restaurants in Manchester. The food is always cooked beautifully, the service is excellent and it has a lovely, intimate, unpretentious feel to it.

Last minute booking and despite the fact we were late we were still able to select the early evening menu - which is terrific value for money. All 3 courses were wonderful - particularly the spicy lamb kofta starter and the pomegranate Etonian mess. Service was attentive but not over bearing. Great evening. Thank you.

This was a birthday night out which was the perfect experience. We met for pre-dinner drinks at The Railway pub across the road and then had a splendid meal at The Lime Tree. I had oysters to start, fish cake as a starter and the trio of fish as a main.

I had 3 starters and was full, my husband had starter and main course, lots to eat and delicious. Interesting menu, difficult to choose what to have, but we loved what we did have. Staff knowledgeable and helpful, good atmosphere, easy to park car outside. We had a very pleasant evening
