Description: At The Spoon Inn we are really passionate about what we have to offer. We firmly believe that quality is the most important thing. In a world that has sold itself to mass production we intend to deliver the best quality products at affordable prices. Our aim is to provide our customers with a variety of food and beverage which have been sourced locally whenever possible, and from around the world. These products will be prepared and served on our premises, in the style they were originally intended. The idea which has now become 'The Spoon Inn', began as a simple conversation amongst three friends, local to the area, voicing our opinions about the lack of really good coffee and tea houses, so we decided to do something about it. Since then the business has developed from coffee and tea, to include food and alcohol. Things will always naturally change and evolve but we consider it to be our obligation to get our coffee and tea spot on. We don't claim to be experts and have tried to avoid coming across as pretentious in any way. For this reason we are open to our customer's views about our products and techniques. You may find that we do things slightly differently at The Spoon Inn. Manchester is a hive of creativity, buzzing with all kinds of artistic life. The Spoon Inn endeavours to capture this unique quality. We will be showcasing work from local musicians, poets, actors, comedians and artists so that you, our customers, will be entertained while your palates are being stimulated. Located in Chorlton's up and coming Barlowmoor rd Parade (opposite the bus station), you will find us open seven days a week. We look forward to meeting you face to face!

I went yesterday with a friend. The food was gorgeous and really reasonable. We were offered water with our meal and extra hot water for my friends. Teapot. Nice atmosphere and a bit quirky.

I'd been out having dinner somewhere in Chorlton alfresco dining. The sun was setting and we were a bit chilly and needed somewhere to warm up. The place is split into three, a cosy nook which could pass as someone's living room at the back, a modern, white cafe look in the main part and alfresco dining. The cafe was... More

I'm not sure if this place has changed hands or if the staff were new but my last visit was not as good as previous visits. The tea menu has gone so pointless really having a range of teas of people can't read about them and make a decision. The staff member did not know anything about them either. She... More

Hi Steven, I can only apologise for your disappointment when you recently visited The Spoon Inn. Our tea menus are still available for all our customers and we are currently in motion in improving them as we constantly increase our range of loose leaf teas, I can only think that they were in use by another customer or not visible,... Had a great evening, the dj played American jazz funk and the staff were attentive and the food good. The restaurant has a small menu but it's quality food served well x great for an evening of good music and bistro food

Love this place . It's original in its decor and style. You can have a food and a drink for £7 .the bagels come with a decent size side salad which is always fresh ( I hate it when you are served old lettuce which is brown around the edge ) they also have a wonderful selection of teas and... More

First visit to chorlton. I would give 5 stars if we'd have got one of the bigger tables in the window rather than a rickety 2 seater. Fab hummus and pittas for just £1.95. Great value. Will definitely return

Been twice. Simple menu (good!). Helpful and friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Soup and salads and a couple of decent draught beers. The coffeee is excellent - they know what they are doing. They also sell a selection of intersting coffees, as beans or ground - not cheap but quality. Not much space though. {Atmosphere is good - this site has... More

We came in early on a Friday evening, having heard overwhelmingly positive things about the food. We opted for a sausage stew and a burger. The staff were composed, friendly and knowledgeable and we tried both of the guest ales, one from Dark Star and one from First Chop. Both of these were in great nick and when the food... More
