A big pub nestled in the Deansgate Canal area a comprehensive beer selection with a dozen cask pumps or so. Lovely atmosphere outside overlooking the canals and barges.

If you want a relaxed meal whether inside or outside, this is the place. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the staff is very welcoming. There is a great selection of beer and ales. Prices are fair.

We are frequent visitors to the wharf for drinks, lunch, sunday dinner which are always delicious, however last week we decided to take my patenters parents for a sit down three course meal upstairs and again we were not disappointed! There is always friendly, polite and attentive staff serving ah the wharf and tonight was no different, our drinks orders... More

We decided to visit The Wharf on a hot Saturday summer evening in July. Having family visit, I thought we'd go to The Wharf and show Manchester off at its best.....how wrong I was! I have had many excellent meals in other B&P pubs, Harkers, The Grosvenor and Pant yr Ochain; so thought The Wharf would be the same. We... More

We visited on a saturday night when it was fairly busy. They did not seem to have enough staff to cover everything and we had to wait a long time for our first drinks. When we did get them we then had to wait longer for some ice as they had ran out. When we ordered wine we also had... More

Have visited many B&P pubs over the years and visited the wharf for the first time at the weekend. It's lovely and big and has a great outdoor area next to the canal. We had a delicious meal (never had a bad meal at a B&P pub!) and the staff were superb.

Super location, particularly on a sunny day.The place is situated next to the canal with outside and inside space to suite any size group gathering, and only a few minutes from the city centre. There are a number of beers to choose from, specials, live music evenings and BBQs throughout the Summer. The staff were very helpful, and the food was ok but the prices... More

When The Wharf first opened in Summer 2012 we went almost weekly because the venue, location, atmosphere and food was all spot on. However, whilst the venue and location (lots of pleasant outdoor space, lovely views, nice decor and good parking) remain as good as ever, the staff and food have taken a nose dive for all our 2014 visits.... Lots of things went wrong with our meal last night, it felt as though some of the waiting staff were incapable of listening to us. So many mistakes with the mains. And again for desert mistakes were brought to the table. Out of the 5 staff who served us 2 were excellent and 3 were poor. Maybe they were new?... More
