Afternoon tea

Booked a table at sugar junction for myself, grandma, mum and auntie for a late Mother's Day treat. Informed them on the phone that my grandma couldn't eat cream. Got here the lovely waitress sat us down. Two of us orderd the prosecco aft tea with a cute pansy in which was a nice touch. Soon as the... read more

Mixture of excellent and inexperienced waitresses. Went on a Saturday and understandably there was a wait. The waitress who took our order was lovely, offered recommendations and attentive. Unfortunately the food came out luke warm, we ordered the tandoori chicken wrap (the chicken was dry) and the hot dog. They had forgotten to include the slaw which we questioned and... More

This cafe used to have lovely staff and brilliant tea. I ordered the sugar junction tea which tasted like water it was so weak. The waitress was so surly it has put me off what was once my favourite cafe in Manchester. The cakes are still v nice though.

I had been really looking forward to taking my daughter to Sugar Junction... We love eating out and it seemed just our kind of place. We went in early for breakfast so initially we were alone with just one other table occupied. The place is lovely... A great vintage feel with lots of little things to add that cosy feel,... More

I visited this little place today and its such a quirky little cafe hidden away in the northern quarter. We arrived without booking but shown straight to a table which was great! Myself and my partner looked at the menus and really were spoilt for choice. Our server was a young lady who was extremely friendly and helpful and our meals... More

Great service, quality food, well priced and, most importantly, left you wanting more. Good breakfast/brunch menu and the best tea I've had in a long time. The pricing is a little high for Manchester City Ctr, however the produce is worth the money.

This was a pleasant find in the northern quarter and my friends and I managed to get a table for 7 at about 1030am for breakfast. It was empty when we first arrived but gradually filled up quickly. The decor was beautiful with different patterns of cloths for the tables and unusual decor on the walls. The bare brick wall... More

Really cute little vintage cafe in Manchester's Northern Quarter, tucked away in a little side street. We had breakfast here and service was friendly and fast. Loved the decor and nice little touches around the place. They have a decent selection of food to choose from with added bonus of cocktails! Although I couldn't justify having one at 10am :/... Came here a couple of weeks ago with my family, we've been before and its been fine, nothing outstanding but pleasant, however this time the waitress we had was so rude really uninterested in serving us and when my mum went to pay I saw her roll her eyes when she turned her back, why? We're nice customers we aren't... More

Rang up & was informed they don't take bookings. Well that's fair enough. Turned up "table for 2 please" and was told it was a 5 minute wait, that's absolutely fine. We stood in the door way and a couple came in behind us, greeted by the same lady and they asked for a table for 2, she walked them... More

Hi Bow, Thank you for taking the time to write your response. We unfortunately stopped taking bookings in December, but we have quiet a few people, parties & events that have booked a long way in advance. Rather than call these guests and cancel their bookings, we are honouring the bookings and would ask our guests to please bare with us... More
