sweet and quirky

A lovely little venue for sugary treats. I've sampled the afternoon tea on one occasion and just had coffee and a shared scone on another. Food is fresh and tastes properly home-baked. The scones are the best I've had for some time - moist, fruity and warm. I think the pricing is just about right... read more

Compliments to the chef who prepared us a lovely breakfast! The eggs Benedict are delicious also the comfort British style food compliments the decor of the restaurant. I would recommend this restaurant especially for breakfast.

As soon as I stepped in, I felt very comfy and chill because of the environment. The design and decorations are very vintage and cute. The food are great but there's isn't a 'wow factor' in it. One of the negatives of the food is the bacon, because to me that's too salty. But overall, it's still good food. The... More

We arrived famished late on a Saturday afternoon and were lucky to be seated immediately. Our chai lattes arrived quite quickly! Pretty darn good ones too! Our mains took a bit too long.....maybe not as long as we thought simply because we were ready to eat our own arms. The Mac n cheese was well tasty, helped along by a... More

We had the £7 cake and cocktail and chose the raspberry and white chocolate sponge cake - HIGHLY recommend. The cocktail and my friends latte were of real good sizes and the vintage set up with the plates/teacups are the perfect touch. Will definitely be back here maybe to try their gluten free options, but as far cannot possibly be... More

Been past a few times never able to get a table until now and oh wow didn't disappoint. Service at first slow as menus were being used by another customer. The cakes were moist and tasty, the cappuccino creamy and the French 75 cocktail is a new fav!!!!! Loved it! Blows other tea rooms out of the water with the standard... More

We were a group of 6 girls on a Saturday lunchtime who totally lucked out as a big table became available just as we arrived. The girls serving were friendly & very helpful, getting the table turned around quickly for us. The menu was extensive: you could have breakfast, a main meal, a snack, afternoon tea, a piece of cake,... More

The waitresses that served me and my friend were delightful and made us feel welcome. As has been mentioned by others, the decor was fantastic. I found it charming and a bit quirky. I was disappointed when I was told there was no Earl Grey tea after requesting it (never been to a place that had run out of such... More

When the girls were busy arranging a trip to Manchester for my 30th birthday, as a cake and cocktail lover/obsessive I had one request/demand – Sugar Junction. I wasn’t disappointed. We had booked for a late afternoon tea around 5pm on a Friday afternoon. It wasn’t too busy, there was another large table reserved for a group that came in... More
