We were caught in a downpour but when we stepped into the magical atmosphere of the tea rooms, we were blotted dry by the waitress with huge pink napkins before being shown to our table. Gloriously hotchpotch crockery, vibrant decor and overwhelmingly warm (if chaotic) service preceded our meal orders. Alice's Welsh rarebit for me - delicious and huge -... More

Hello, Lovely to hear that our team looked after you so well after your dash in the rain and did it rain last Saturday, we had to dry quite a few people off. Delighted to hear that you enjoyed our quirky choice in decoration too.... it is rather magical like you say. Our Welsh Rarebit is one of our most... More

The firs thing that strikes you about this little place is its quirky style and original set up - it's like walking back into the roaring 20s. Lovely kitsch decor, including the crockery your food/drink comes in. Then in the background you have music from wartime. The atmosphere is superb and very unique for Manchester. Myself and my friend had... More

Ignorance doesn't cover it - particularly the ladies working. The attention of the waiting staff is harder to get than a branded chocolate bar in Marks & Spencer's. The cake looks alright, but the ceaseless Irving Berlin droning through the speakers is nauseating. The Molly House next door has better cake, but fewer idiots.
