Really enjoyed our Queen Afternoon tea. Kelly was a wonderful waitress, she asked us three times if everything was alright. She explained what the sandwiches contents were, the cakes etc. a wonderful experience. We had to wait to be seated but I can say with all honesty, it was worth the money we paid, and we enjoyed it. A must... More

A surprise party venue for a girly girl - couldn't have picked a better spot! Four ladies had afternoon tea with all the trimmings - a glass of champers to start then a good selection of fresh and generously filled sandwiches, a savoury quiche (not usually included on afternoon tea - so a bonus!) and scrummy cakes. A tea menu... More

Four of us were in Manchester for the weekend when we found The Richmond Tearooms, we had afternoon tea there and it was fantastic ! A wonderfully quirky atmospheric place, delicious homemade cakes and scones ( the scones by the way are the best we have ever tasted ) , excellent tea which is loose leaf and beautifully served in... We had heard good reviews so decided to give Richmond tea rooms a try. We were shown to a table straight away. The room was beautifully decorated. Food and drinks both tasted great. I can't comment on the tea as I'm a coffee drinker (coffee chains don't have the best atmosphere though). Staff were polite and asked if everything was... More

What a lovely place... Did everything they could to help us feel welcome. Seated straight away. Then when we asked if we could move onto a corner table; it was no problem at all. Water was brought straight away. We ordered a 'mad hatters tea' for 3. The sandwiches were very tasty. Wasn't sure if there would be enough at... More

This was my 2nd visit, but the first for my friend who was treating me for lunch! We were seated immediately in the large room at the back of the tea rooms, but my friend had a glimpse of the Alice in Wonderland themed room. The choice of food on the menu which went from breakfasts - served till 1pm... More

Hidden down a back alley along the canal in Manchester are the Richmond tearooms.... It's like stepping back in time as you walk in. Absolutely full when we arrived on Monday late morning and people queuing for tables... Always a good sign. Although didn't wait too long to be seated. Menu looked amazing with options for breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee/tea... More

We rang ahead on short notice letting them know we were coming as a large group and found them to be very friendly and had a table waiting and ready even though they were busy. The food itself was excellent and the service from all the staff was great, they were very friendly to the kids in the group and... More

Visited The Richmond Tea rooms following a friends recommendation. Yes the decor is dramatic with its Alice in Wonderland theme but this does not compensate for the poor quality of the food and standard of service. After being seated we waited over half an hour before someone came to take our order and that was only because we all worked... More
