Having booked to see a show for 7.30 in the eve we were wanting to eat early. Luckily we stumbled upon this little gem and as it was early got a table. I thoroughly recommend booking at weekends as so many people were turned away. We chose a set menu for 2 (£20 each) and were not disappointed. Non licensed... More

First visit here on a Friday evening. Enjoyed a lovely meal. Great lively atmosphere. Popped to the supermarket nearby for some drinks so the meal itself was fantastic value. Would definitely recommend the beef with garlic and chilli and the seafood pad tai. Starters were excellent too. Staff were friendly, polite and accommodating and the service attentive and no hurry.... More

Stayed in Picadilly the night so did a bit of research and came up with the place. We went upstairs to the restaurant and whilst waiting but came to the conclusion its a non licenced premises or as my girlfriend calls 'it's a bring your own booze place'. We booked at 18:30 for 20:30 and when we arrived it was... More

We have been going to Phetphailin for a long time and have always found it to be very good. Last nights visit was definitely in the excellent category as not only was the food outstanding but so was the service; sometimes in the past one of the waitresses was a bit surly but all the staff were great on this... It doesn't look much from outside, up some stairs on George Street in Chinatown. The food is amazing though, the staff are spot on and the prices are very reasonable. It was packed when we were in. And you bring your own alcohol, if you so wish.

We discovered this restaurant by chance on a Monday night and managed to get the last available table. Many Thai diners filled this quaint and quirky 'bring your own alcohol ' place. The food was excellent - the hot and sour soup with coconut and chicken was one of the best we've ever had. The star dish was the Tamarind... More

This is plain restaurant up a couple of flights of stairs. We went at lunchtime and had the set menu. I had my favourite red curry and my husband had his favourite prawn with ginger and spring onion. It was such amazing value that we will be back, very soon.

Phet Pailin is a true hidden gem, tucked away at the top of some old stone stairs in a lovely old building on George Street in Chinatown, stumbled across by accident. In fact, it turns out it wasn't an accident, it was meant to be found. Delicious authentic Thai food and lovely staff. I'm always recommending Phet Pailin to people... More
