First visit but not the last!

Our son has recently moved to the area and we visited before a concert in town and sampled the early weekend menu which we all agreed was delicious and great value.

St Patricks day a Tuesday but still bistro west was full and had to turn away customers. A favourite of ours the food always delivers, beautiful creamy potato and leek soup, a beef and ale pie and tasty shared dessert.

We visited for dinner on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was pretty full and due to the relatively small size of the venue and the configuration of the tables it was pretty tight. So much so that when the waitress came by she knocked the wine list off the table and we had to catch the vase from our table... More

Always first on my list when we feel like letting someone else make dinner. This place never disappoints when it comes to food quality, atmosphere and the general dining out experience. If I had only one little gripe it would be the menu can get a little repetitive. I always end up having soup as a starter which is always... More

Good menu and quality food. The set menu is great value. The specials seem to vary and I can tell the chefs have pride in what they are doing. I will definitely return.

Delicious food on a wet sleepy Monday off work. Neighbourhood bistro, superb quality food and very friendly relaxed (but prompt) service. Been here a few times and always a lovely experience. Recommended.

This is a lovely and unique restaurant. The staff are all lovely and friendly. We took our 1 year old and I've never seen her East so much. The menu is varied and interesting, there are also additional specials. I loved my spicy and crispy squid, my husband and daughter loved the cheese souffle. My fish pie was divine, it... More

Went to this restaurant on Friday, good idea to book table in advance as it was busy. Greeted with a warm welcome which set the scene for a perfect evening. When considering the concise menu and the specials we were given good advice. The food tasted as though it was cooked with real heart and soul as the flavours were... More
