Been to this restaurant numerous times - always good food and friendly service. We have been for lunch and dinner - also celebrated our sons 21st here. Its great for families, friends and couples. Particularly enjoy watching children enjoying the food!

Love the food here, the gyoza is amazing, the sushi boat is lovely and very generous with the sashimi. The mains are equally as good, the Chicken Katsu curry and Yaki Udon noodles are two of my favs. The service is quick and efficient and always friendly. The price is very good, and we always come out feeling satisfied. Would... More

My girlfriend is a big fan of sushi and wanted to introduce me to it. She'd known about this restaurant for ages and had always insisted it was her favourite. I was a little intimidated at first as it's down a street that doesn't appear inviting if you don't know the area and when we entered the restaurant, to be... More

Me and my bf have been here a number of times. The food is very tasty, good value for money, authentic and big the portions are a good size. Dont go for a special occasion because this place is far from fancy. Nevertheless the fab food makes this place worth it for us.

It can be quite hard to find a good Japanese restaurant in Manchester. Kyotoya proved to be a very nice place each time I came, with excellent sushi. While the main meals are quite average and the udons and ramens are more western style rather than the way they make them in Kyoto or Tokyo, the atmosphere is lovely and... More

Been 6 + times over the last 18 months and this is a great little restaurant, one of manchester's hidden gems. I believe the chef used to work at Samsi and it shows. The food is superb, albeit just a tad less formal/precise than Samsi. The tempura and gyoza are superb (as is most of the menu but those are... More

The gyoza are amazing, sushi is fresh and delicious, main dish portions are a good size and cooked well... great value and nice staff. Been 4 times now... 3 times it was amazing but the 4th time the food was a little dry and salty, but we will be giving it the benefit of the doubt and going again as... More

I was a bit dubious about this place, it was so cheap. I've always believed cheap sushi was probably too much of a risk. But my son took me here, knowing I like Japanese and that he'd been there quite a few times during his time at uni here. The approach is a bit grotty, a grubby little side street.... More

I go here regularly and have never been disappointed. The food is delicious and authentic and prepared in front of diners. The service is fast and friendly. Cosy atmosphere, I absolutely love it here. A downside is that they don't accept card payments, but there's a supermarket directly opposite with a cash machine. That aside it's definitely a gem of... Cosy little restaurant which serves top quality food at cheap prices. Two can eat very well for around £20. Copson street is a bustling with charity shops and the addition of Kyotoya takes it up a level. Great to sit outside on a sunny day. There's lots of choice, the food comes really fast and is tasty, what more could... More
