All is not what it seems

On the face of it you would be mistaken to think this is another dirty cafe where you will find builders backsides and wet sponge like toast. I have been coming here for years, food is predominantly breakfast and lunch and albeit the decor is funky it could do with a good clean. I am clutching... read more

A traditional British caff with a modern twist serving excellent quality, excellent value breakfast. The coffee isn't the best I've ever had but for the price and with the luscious breakfast it doesn't matter? This is a somewhat brief review but here's not much to say-its simple food that's simply brilliant, what more is there to say?

We'd had a late night at NQ Live and stopped at the nearby Travelodge. We didn't get up in time to eat at the hotel so needed a good feed. We got to The Koffee Pot before noon when the breakfast menu changes to lunch time meals. Two Full English breakfasts with a mug of coffee each and for £11... More

A classic British cafe. Grab a table and make your choice of classic British cafe food. A seat by the huge windows lets you watch the streets outside come to life in the mornings. Order at the counter. The bacon sandwiches are superb washed down with scup of tea. Feeling hungrier? The full English is good quality and great value.... More

Looked this place out as had read a good review, wasn't disappointed. Seemed to have a nice mix between old British caff and interesting modern cafe (if that makes sense). Only seating was banquets - but had doubles in the middle if you're going with a big group. I had a mug of tea and the spicy sausage stew from... More

I love this place, always a mish-mash of people. If you are lucky enough to get a booth and we have been thankfully, you get the best breakfast ever with great tea and toast on the side. Always pleasant service. Food always great standard & surroundings are an eclectic mix of gig posters, vinyl strewn around in the windows &... More

I have been eating at this cafe for a number of years now and finally found myself compelled to write on this site due to the morons who talk about the over priced food. Not only is the food of excellent quality, the daily specials are always top notch, it is CHEAP. Where do these people eat? Do these people... More

Been to The Koffee Pot before, I need to have a sit down as full English looks good, or the daily fresh Manx kippers! Got a bacon on toast with brown sauce (as a proper Northerner should!) 5 minute wait, but only as pretty busy & 1 guy in the kitchen. It's a bit pricier than other places £2.50, but... More

We arrived at a busy period so we were prepared to wait however I don't think we expected the wait to be quite so long. The place seems get by on the pseudo hip atmosphere - it certainly wasn't on the quality. Pros 1. I really liked some of the cooked breakfast - the sausage and mushrooms were lovely 2.... More

I visited this cafe/restaurant with my toddler and the staff couldnt do enough for us. The place itself was unique and the food was excellent. The staff were really accommodating towards my fussy eater son! He loved the attention and how friendly the staff were. I loved the atmosphere and the variety of people it seems to attract. 10/10 cant... More
