Small restaurant in Didsbury village - high ratings on tripadvisor. Serves good food - well presented. Staff attentive - but place lacks much atmosphere. Quite quiet. Cost about £40/head - a little overpriced to me.

I have walked past this little Gem too often, even having to cancel bookings when I've been late back. Thankfully on Saturday night I finally made it. We sat upstairs and it felt that right mix of stepping into someone's world and restaurant. It's cosy without being uncomfortable. I love a place that allows me to have a chilled fino... More

We decided on a weekend in Manchester instead of the up and back in the same day to collect our Son from Uni. As we had chosen a hotel in Didsbury we needed a nice place to eat. Our son recommended No 4 as he had heard good things. So table booked back in January we turned up and was... More

This is a small nice restaurant in Didsbury Manchester, which I have visit several times and always had very good food and very good service. It has a good wine selection. I was there mainly at lunch time, but I know that the evening menue es also very good

We have been to this restaurant as a small group and as a couple. The food is always of an exceptional standard and the staff warm and friendly. The 2 and 3 course mid week menue is very good value. A la carte on a Fri and Sat night a bit more expensive but worth it for the occasion.

We were recommended No 4 as being a quiet place to enjoy good food, and so it turned out to be. Although small, the restaurant was not overcrowded and the plush carpet meant that noise was muted and one could have a normal conversation without having to shout to make yourself heard. The menu was not extensive but every item... More

Any time I go to this restaurant it always impresses me. The food is on the verge of world class and the setting is just as good.

The food was delicious. I had a 3-course midweek menu (Tues-Thurs), which was £18.95 and totally worth every penny. Others had courses from the usual menu and all agreed that it was fantastic. It sounds strange to say that my favourite part of the meal was the carrot and coriander soup, but when it was paired with a fresh mini-loaf,... More

The midweek menu is excellent value currently at £14.95 for two courses, £18.95 for three courses with about four or five choices on each course. The service is excellent and the decor is pleasant if a little plain, but a nice cosy place for a candlelit dinner, down a cobbled side street with fairy lights outside. Food is lovely, had... More
