Excellent fine food in a cosy setting. A hidden jem. We were so impressed we returned with friends and the visit was equally impressive. A varied menu with interesting delights. Leave room for pudding as the are exquisite.

Part of a party of 10 for Sunday lunch to celebrate a retirement. First visit to this delightful small restaurant hidden from view along the narrow cobbled Warburton Street. This converted old house is nicely fitted with quality tables and chairs, able to seat approximately 24 guests without being cramped. The set menu has four starters, four mains and four... More

Welcoming and unobtrusive, the service was spot on, and timings right . We never felt rushed, but nor did we wonder when the next course was coming. Staff remembered who had ordered what - which was more than we did! The set Sunday menu (£18.95 for three courses) was excellent value. A good range of choices, with all tastes catered... More

The restaurant is in a side street/alley which does not look that attractive. The bistro itself looked nice though. Inside it was warm and busy. The ambiance was simply but pleasant. The menu was of a reasonable size and choice. I had a excellent prawn starter and crepes Suzette desert. The liver main was OK. We (I was with my... More

We thought this was excellent - I had pork belly and smoked salmon to start. The veg was perfectly cooked, the wine delicious and I finished with rice pudding and stewed plums. On the table was complimentary bread (rye I think) and chocolate truffles. There is a car park about ten yards away at bottom of the cute little cobbled... More
