We love Try Thai and always go when we're in Manchester. Our favourite Thai restaurant. Great food and pleasant staff. It has always been busy when we've been so good atmosphere too. Location in China town also handy for shops and lots of hotels on Portland St.

We revisited this restaurant having had several excellent meals previously. What a disappointment! Every meat dish was rubbery and appeared to have been reheated. This was Saturday tea time-the place was about half full so there is absolutely no excuse. There are far better restaurants a few paces away-go elsewhere-I will next time!

Went for lunch here on Saturday afternoon. We had to wait 20 minutes for a table so we reserved a seat and went to China town to do some shopping first. Parked in the carpark on St James street which is less than 2 minutes walk away. Service very friendly and quick. Waited less than 20 mins for the food... More

Dear Patron, Thank you for writing such a great positive review. Your words make me and my team very proud. Yes Q Park at St James Street is most convenient for vehicle users, which not people are aware of as the entrance is situated in a poorly lit side street. And thank you for noticing our competitive prices. We try... More

We visited this restaurant during our weekend break. It was very easy to book a table. We did this 2hrs before. Staff were friendly and atmosphere was nice. We ordered a starter platter for two. Everything was nice except the pork on toast. Couldn't really taste the pork at all. For main I had the chilli noodle with veg and... More

On the recommendation of a friend, we ate here last Sunday, The Try Thai platter was excellent for a starter, the waitress even recommending me which meat suited which sauce! It was not the cheapest starter in the world but well worth it, The main course, which was beef mixed with noodles and a few vegetables, was among the best... More

Located on the 1st floor and away from the busy street's of Manchester's China Town, Try Thai is both tasty and excellent value for money. I'd particularly recommend the 2/3 course lunch menu which is an absolute bargain for the quality on offer. Authentic Thai cuisine at it's best.

Nice place and good service on a weekend evening despite not booking a table. However, the pad Thai was greasy and tasted nothing but sweetness, the soft shell crab was soggy and soaked in overwhelming sweet sauce, worst of all, the coconut rice also tasted too sweet and ruined the natural coconut aroma. We all suffered a sugar shock. Probably... More

Had a delicious meal in Try Thai on a busy Saturday evening. We hadn't booked but they managed to squeeze us in. It was very busy! The service was fast, the portion size was generous and it tastes great. It was reasonably priced too. I recommend you book a table and order the Penang curry!!

Really good atmosphere and awesome food. We have the 'Rose' banquet at £30 and it was delicious and filling. Highly recommend this place :-)
