i got engaged here

I loved the fact this place was almost empty and so quiet for our anniversary. The food was delicious and priced about right for what it was. The service was great and we got free drinks after he proposed which was really nice!

My husband wanted a great place to propose and looked up the best places in Manchester to eat as it was our anniversary too. This place was lovely and quiet! Just how we like it. Food & service were outstanding. When we got engaged we were given free non alcoholic cocktails as we don't drink but we were offered free... More

Good restaurant, food, decor and staff all quality but few covers for a Saturday evening. James Martin taking over won't make any difference. The problem with the place is the casino which you have to walk through after, getting past the casino reception. The place needs its own entrance which is probably impossible and a small but important point, you... More

My husband and I booked a table here shortly after watching a movie nearby. The staff who took the booking, seated us and then served us were all friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The food couldn't be faulted. Excellent value. Recommended

I went with friends to Linen and found the food to be first rate. The quality was on par with some Michelin establishments I have eaten in. The ambience was nice and you wouldn't know it was in a casino as it is well away from the gaming floor. The service is a little lacking and we felt we had... More

Myself and a friend found Linen by chance. We decided to try it out we went early on a Saturday about 5 30. It was nearly empty. We got the early bird menu. Food was fabulous. Service great (but there was only about ten people in) the staff were very friendly. They told us about James Martin taking over in... More

We managed to book this at the last minute and did wonder why there was availability after trying several of our favourite city centre restaurants which were all fully booked. The Restaurant was only half full at 8:00pm on a Saturday night and the food was only average despite many reviews saying otherwise. The staff were friendly and eager to... More

Lovely looking restaurant with the wow factor. You have to walk through the casino but so what, it didn't bother any of us and the casino noise level was quiet, but it was a Monday evening. the t bone steaks where excellent as was the 3 bird roast. the lamb course could have had a couple more lamb cutlets and... Just returned from a meal with my wife in Linen. We were having a intimate night out (or so we thought) to conclude our two weeks holiday before returning to work. The restaurant was very nicely decorated BUT its location is above the casino and bar area. There was a private party in the bar and the music was exceptionally... More

Shared the tasting board for starter. Lamb main course was amazing, cooked three different ways. Pork was also good. First desert wasn't to my taste so they switched it out like true professionals, sticky toffee pudding was super. Drinks are a little pricey but the meal was great value. Service was attentive and friendly. The setting was lovely don't worry... More
