A friend recommended this restaurant, me not being from Manchester, and as we arrived on a pleasant Sat evening, I have to say it wasn't what I expected. Drinks were ordered on the pavement "terrace," across the road from the restaurant and I looked over and thought it looked more like a cafe. After our drinks, as we'd arrived early... More

Had the Lamb Shoulder and Mussels as a starter. Excellent flavor combinations and very satisfying. The bar was able to accommodate my "strange yankee request" and an American cocktail arrived that was correctly made and met with my taste approval. Pleasing atmosphere for a quiet evening. I would not hesitate to dine there again.

A classic example of form over function. Although the food was well prepared and tasty, the portion size was pitiful, and would have been embarrassing as a starter! Pretentious in the extreme and very poor value for money. The chef obviously has ideas above his station and is taking the pi55.

Meeting with friends for a good old catch up, natter and gossip fuelled by great food! We booked for the early 3 course menu at £16.95 a head. It was a great choice. Nice selection of starters and mains (from the A La Carte menu) in the deal. Eggs Benedict was the favourite starter choice, my friend whitebait looked good... More

Six of us recently went in the early evening on Friday. Not too busy but enough people for a good atmosphere. Lamb chops, suckling pig, John Dory all excellent. Couple of glasses of beer for the gents, two bottles of wine plus puddings, £40 per head including decent tip for excellent staff (nothing too much trouble). Wine markup rather steep... More

Looking for an early evening meal before a concert nearby and found this excellent place. Fine meal from very interesting menu and some good wine with a broad range available by the glass - much more than many places. Friendly and helpful staff served our meal beautifully timed between 1730 and 1900 hrs leaving well fed before moving on to... More

I was recently entertained to a business lunch here at TNQ with 2 business colleagues.. What a gem of a restaurant I've walked past it many times. We all had the scallops for starters, they were excellent. I had chicken Kiev for my main. It was a good size and very tender. In fact I struggled to eat all of... More
