Really Good Value

Not eaten here for some years. We were a party of five and all had starters and mains. Of the 10 dishes only one a real disappointment and when we stated that fact we were not charged for that particular dish. We had three bottles of wine all really good and also good value. I like their wine... read more

Ordered olives, never arrived Ordered wine, replacement provided but attempted to charge £7 more. Not a good wine for £29. Dish of day rare ribeye steak arrived overcooked, apology but not replacement. Other steak was overcooked and chewy. Unadorned. One starter ok, one very unenspiring. Nice atmosphere. Friendly though forgetful staff. The Pass let them down. Could spend £100 elsewhere... More

Great value early bird. Would of liked a bit more veggie choice. Lovely food. Only negative was that the restaurant was not very warm. Would go again.

Had a nice meal here. Two courses for £13.95 off a set menu. Good Sunday roast and polite staff. Only downside is they include a service charge on the receipt in the total price, therefore not giving you the option of giving the tip you feel appropriate. You can ask for this to be removed from the bill, but risk... More

Have visited a number of times over several years and never had a bad meal, food is always good and that was the case on my most recent Saturday night visit. In this kind of price bracket, my favourite restaurant in Manchester.

and no surprise it was only just 5pm (and a Tuesday in February). Visited following 2 recommendations from work colleagues and was not disappointed. Went with the Express Menu but based on choice not price - food very good but despite the fact that it was very early the timing of the service was spot on and just the right... More

A busy restaurant that has never let me down when I’ve been. The menu changes with the seasons and availability of ingredients, last time there were three different game birds on offer. There are nearly always specials, limited numbers so early birds get the choice. Wine list is good value and the bar knows how to make good cocktails. If... More

I dined here with my husband on Valentine's Day and rather than pay the high prices for the Valentine's Menu we enjoyed the Express Menu instead, prior to watching Phoenix Nights at the Arena. The service was very attentive and efficient, and we enjoyed the atmosphere which was quite buzzy as it was pretty full. The lighting is lovely, with... More

Well I've radically cut back on meat in the New Year and very often have been disappointed with the vegetarian or vegan options. But not here! Taking advantage of the express menu prior to seeing Phoenix Nights at the arena, I was not at all disappointed after ordering the butternut squash and sage gnocchi. Fantastic flavours, perfectly cooked gnocchi with... More

Second visit to TNQ as we had enjoyed first time we went. The food is good and a lively atmosphere as the restaurant was busy. Bit confused by portion size though as starter and pudding/cheese board were generous but the mains were a bit skimpy. My duck had very little meat and my husband's steak could have had a bit...
